Israel can easily have a rather large collection of ranks I-III vehicles. Air would admittedly be a bit thin, but still enough to be independent and unique. Ground, on the other hand, could be almost as large as British lowtier tanks. I would’ve been way more fine with Greece being a subtree if Gaijin actually bothered to add unique Israeli vehicles (without nerfing the crap out of them; still mad at the horrible implementation of the Sholef V1). Instead, all we’ll ever get now is Greek vehicles and a unique Israeli vehicle once every two years.

Gameplay wise, it would be like a 2A7HU, except without the speed reduction- so with better mobility.

Leopard 2A6HEL, as well as Leopard 2E, would be the best tanks the game would ever see until 2020s 130/140mm prototypes. Leopard 2A7+s, except without the mobility nerfs.

(In real life, 2A7s traded top speed for acceleration, but in WT, only the slower top speed is modelled, and not the improved acceleration it was traded for.)

Still can’t understand why people call the 2HEL → 2A6HEL but never the 2E as 2A6E

Almost like that has always been part of War Thunder. It’s been nation-based before ground was a thing. It just got further emphasis after one of the most popular additions to the game, the sub-tree system. Because it showed nations don’t need to go thru the suffering of being ripped apart.

May I remind you the pre-order bonus was a “C&P” Sherman for Germany: M4 748 (a) (Germany) | War Thunder Wiki

You want to know what is really a scam: being sold your nation’s vehicles for $100 each, and not being able to use them in a line-up together, despite all but two modes being line-up based. (It’s even worse when they are sold in a bundle together)

probably seven, and this guy bought one

I prefer a Centauro II to another 2A6 on steroids. But to each their own.
You’re belittling my comments and exaggerating your own. When they add Greece and you see how they don’t solve anything for Israel, you’ll understand.

Israel has a lot of potential. Greece will ultimately be their executioner. You’ll be happy because you got to play with Greek vehicles (I would be too if I were you). I’ll be disappointed because I started playing with Israel with different expectations. I already am, in fact, I have been for years. Seeing Greece advance only reinforces my disappointment with how gaijin handled Israel from the very beginning.

Just for you and everyone else to get an idea of just how full Israel’s low-tier ranks can be, this is a part of a tech tree I’ve built and sustained up until around late 2024.

Nearly all vehicles here are unique; some are more obvious, others appear copy&paste but are actually unique (for example: the squadron vehicle here is the Sherman Meir, Israel’s 2nd-ever Sherman, and it had a 20mm HS.404 autocannon inside the barrel because the original gun breech was too damaged to use).

If you wanna look up the rest of the tree, here’s a link: Israel ground forces full potential

Unfortunately, some of the images got corrupted over time, which saddens me, as some of them were VERY hard to find, since I needed to dig through lots of websites from 2004, only accessible via the Wayback Machine, to get them. BRs and ranks are entirely up for debate and aren’t up to date anyways.

EDIT: by the way, if you didn’t enter the website to read, the H.39 and all the other vehicles in the tree using the SA38 L/33 would not use the french APC as IRL the Israelis instead used an improvised AP shell made by taking the HE shell the gun fired, emptying it, and inserting instead the penetrator of the M74B1 or M51B1 (we’re unsure exactly which one).

You believe that if they have chosen Brazil they wouldn’t do the same, why you believe that because Greece/Cyprus were chosen nothing will be solved but if they had chosen another nation Isreal would be magically saved?? No, the exact same thing would happened no matter the country that was chosen as a subtree

Lol and what makes you believe that if Brazil was in place it wouldn’t be the same?

I mean, we have allready Stealth :3
So, ECM next? :D

I personally don’t think any nation should be added to Israel as a subtree, or if it had to be ONE, then I’d go either with Chile or the Philippines, as they were and are respectively Israel’s most major customers.

I have see it, you know what could made it even better?

No freaking way Gaijin will go with adding EW to the game before expanding air RB.

Oh, what the hell am I talking about? Of course they will…

Too big gaps in both ground and air, and diversity. Having only Merkavas make it kinda boring

The Merkavas should be more unique and much better than they are ingame. They use completely fictional armor ingame (IRL they have SLERA); they could have LAHAT ATGMs (only needing a small modification, replacing the LRF with a combined LRF/laser designator, impossible to notice externally), and there are sooooo many light tanks, IFVs, and ATGM carriers Israel could potentially have to aid them.

Israel should be the nation whose niche is a shitton of ATGM carriers who all have unique quirks.

Yes Merkavas are horrible modelled, I don’t want another Bushmaster with Spikes, 4 are enough, I would like the Eitan with the 105/120mm (I don’t remember the exact calibre). And let’s be serious all Merkavas above 12.3 are the exact some with minor changes like mine protection or an APS that doesn’t work all the time

I’ve always complained about this. I’m completely against it. They intend to do the same with Singapore. At least Greece will be in one place; I just hope it’s better than what they offered with Finland.

However, it’s still a rip off to have to research the same vehicles repeatedly in every tech tree, especially when they’re at Rank VII, which is more expensive.

I mean, most MBTs are kinda similar to one another, but adding a generic Leopard 2 will not solve the issue. Sure, there are lots of Busmaster-with-SPIKEs IFV choices, but there’s other cool stuff like an M113 with a MAPATS launcher (an Israeli TOW-2 knockoff that is laser-guided, which could fire regular MAPATS and improved MAPATS ATGMs with 800mm pen and 1200mm pen, respectively, both with tandem warheads, btw). RAM MK.3 with either a quad or octuple LAHAT launcher would be nice to see; Wilder/ATeMM-T could be an extremely unique vehicle if Gaijin would model it properly, and of course there’s the Hafitz and Pereh firing SPIKE NLOS ATGMs, which are MUCH bigger than SPIKE LR2s.

It’s unique

Another giraffe?

I would like that

A better version that should’ve been added by day 1. Much like how Taiwan has both a regular M113 TOW and the CM25, Israel should’ve gotten both the Giraffe and the Giraffe (MAPATS). There’s also the RBY Mk.1 armored car armed with a TOW launcher, so Israel could have both an M113 with a greatly improved ATGM on par with Kornet, as well as a TOW launcher on a much smaller and nimbler platform than the fatass M113.

RBY Mk.1 (TWO)

M113/Giraffe (MAPATS)
Notice the square optic on the launcher; that’s the indicator that it’s a MAPATS launcher and not a TOW. I’m surprised RTX (formerly Raytheon) didn’t sue for copyright.
EDIT: forgot to mention the MAPATS has thermal optics

RAM Mk.3 AT would also be a cool ATGM carrier using an ATGM which isn’t modeled ingame and would be unique compared to the rest as it lofts like Hellfires.
