Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

More of a reason to migrate to PC xD

I have a few direct questions about the game’s future:

First, about infantry: since we saw them in the closed beta and World War mode might return, are you guys planning to add transport mechanics? I mean, actually using IFVs, Helis, or even tanks to carry troops?

Also, when is Germany getting new helis? The tree is stuck. And what’s the deal with PARS 3 and Spike missiles not having proper top-attack? You already have that logic modeled for the LMUR, so why not transfer it to the other FnF missiles?

Lastly, will the Brimstone get its Fire-and-Forget (FnF) capability at some point? It feels inconsistent that other missiles have it and these don’t. Thanks.

Day 1083 of waiting for Polish tech tree

No problem, the Moroccan one is based on the French prototype Mirage F1 FM 2000, which could be placed in the French tech tree.

I didn’t know that the Mk19 had that good of performance on its HEAT/HE-DP. Recently though, it seems as if Gaijin is just adding bigger and bigger vehicles to the US, that come with mediocre protection, so I think it’s time to the curb that for a short while and give us some ratty vehicles.

Two words: Too Expensive

Otherwise I would love to. There is literally only one reason to have console over PC and it’s because of price. PC players get more opportunities for things than console players do between the market and sales on goods. Although, if I had a PC, I probably wouldn’t even bother with war thunder.

No worries, it’s never happening. Algeria would surely go to Russia, just as was the case with the Syrian TURMS. It would be illogical and France already lacks many of its own vehicles, and already has its share of foreign vehicles with Belgium and the Netherlands

Yeah definitely

Germany should have been given the Dutch Apaches, as per my earlier post about putting Dutch vehicles in the German tree - it also fits with IRL military-economic connections.

LAV-AD already exists and has the optional Hydras too. If you want a lower BR light tank, there are other more suitable ones:

LAV-600 (105mm)
LAV-300 (90mm)
V-150/V-200 (90mm)

The LAV-III TOW/LAV-AT would fill a gap in the tank destroyer line as well.

I’m going to assume that allowing them access to unlimited Allied equipment also fills a gap? Majorty of the unique Dutch stuff was used in war or was meant to be used against the Germans.

Sure, if you ignore 1940-1945 and technically the Cold War. Which makes up more of WT than the time period of its joint command with Germany,

These would all be welcomed additions, especially the LAV-600, but the tanks you listed don’t fill the role the LAV-25 would. The LAV-600 would probably be an equal or higher BR than the stingray, seeing as how it mounted the stingray turret on a wheeled chassis. The LAV-300, V-150, and V-200 would all be unstabilized, 90mm heat slingers, and would fill a role more similar to the AML. The LAV-25 would be a first of its kind in the US TT in two ways. One being that it is a wheeled IFV, not yet seen in the US TT, and the other being, filling a BR gap in the light tank line of the US TT.

As for missile carriers, I would take anything at this point. I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that the US created the TOW system, yet doesn’t have a single missile carrier operating the TOW system (or any system really) in its TT. Apparently the US having a missile carrier, or a wheeled IFV in its TT isn’t important for Gaijin.

Nah. As a Dutch person I think the current location is fine.

However I still think that we didn’t even need to become a sub tree. Just releasing Dutch vehicles as skins to their tree of origin and use the unique ones as premiums or event vehicles.

And that’s where YOU’RE wrong, War thunder isn’t real life it’s a game which means the dev’s can do what they please regardless of real life connections and what not

Reject swift, embrace Venom.

I would if venom wasnt the same BR as a hunter

I still do not understand why it isnt down, nor why when we got a BR changing thread it isnt 1 of the first to be suggested. Oh well, I guess those of us who fly it are just that good ;)

Careful, you might offend some people with that reasonable take

Hi all! I want to make a list of future tanks that can be added. I collect them based on the availability of LWS and APS. And I ran into a problem: does the Leclerc tank have APS? I haven’t seen it in any modification, including XLR (I don’t count EMBT). Maybe there are analogues?

The Leclerc Evolution is planned to be equipped with Trophy APS, but the Evolution is still just a prototype

Our merida had LWS, surely its a futuristic tank right? I mean even most of the Leopard 2 series doesn’t have LWS so surely it’s ahead right?

Surely right?
