I’m excited for F-16 Block 52 for America regardless, but I don’t expect it to be anything other than probably a decent option for 14.0/14.3 at the highest since they’re AIM-120Ds.
I’m unsure about the AIM-120D’s capabilities, but multiple expectations just in case they’re better than my suspicions.
all the 120 needs is some hobs capability, like the c5 had on the first dev server
the 120 doesnt lack range at all right now, it just cant do anything at short range which is where 75% of fights happen
One of the biggest upgrades of the 120d is improved hobs capability. improved from the already improved c-5. they may just decide that the aim120d is where they’ll add hobs capability.
I mean, I haven’t moved on from the fact the US is once again neglected at top tier, with another half baked plane as an alleged counterpart to fight the eurodeltas/Su-30s spam.
We’re still waiting for a solution for Israel at top tier (like an improved F-15I) as well.

Facing Fox-3s while using a 12.3 plane is not something new lmao and you definitely can deal with them even without SARH missiles.
Does it suck? Sure.
Are you automatically going to lose because there are BVR planes in the match while you don’t have such capabilities? No.
Are you losing to them or is this about losing half of your team because they aren’t avoiding the Phoenixes and Fakours?

exactly. we don’t know how they’ll model the missile but if they dont improve the seeker or pull, its just a reskinned c-5 which i doubt they’d make an entire announcement about.

i remember trying the c5 on the second day of the dev and thinking i was going crazy bc it was horrendous at turning now, couldnt even let us have fun for 2 days its just sad man
