Can you just not, funny enough in the 4th gen and “4.5 gen” jet range lots of countries upgrade old kit or bought new kit either from NATO countries or Russian or Chinese Kit. So this gen is mainly going to be lot’s Eurofighters and Rafales or F15’s,F18’s,F16’s Jas39’s and if you didn’t get them SU27’s SU33’s SU30’s Mig29’s etc.

I don’t think they’re gonna like future F-35 only top tier lobbies because every nation that isn’t the US, Russia or China can only get the F-35 as their gen 5

It looks like a mix of the hornet, f-5 and f-16
It can be added at some point but it’d likely end up as a 13.3 and perform very similarly to the JF-17 so it’s not exactly what Chinese top tier air needs right now imo

Yeah, the only places where there’s really a lot of domestic design deiversity left for 4th gen (+) would be USA, USSR and China. Others either rely on imports and/or only very few distinct designs.
We sadly got to the point where only superpowers can afford to make prototypes for aircraft unless a nation really wants to commit to one design.
So a lot of the game now will probably have to rely more on midifications/variants rather than new airframes.

Has a X band radar plus some pretty good Fox3’s so I doubt "IF"it came it would be 13.3 IMO

It gonna be an aircraft with an old mechanical radar while with a next gen BVR Missile like an Aim-120D…
There’s at least Turkey potentially as a subtree (maybe Italy?) with KAAN, future KF-21 Block 3 for a future Korean tree and if we get more Yak-141 cases then things like Japans 5th gen F-X (and equivalents for other nations)
Also Britain and Israel can at least get unique weapons for the F-35, so there’s that at least.

Perhaps 13.7 depending on how the Skysword II performs, but it’s slow like the JF-17 and doesn’t have HMD so I was thinking it’d perform pretty similarly (Also the exact same missile count being 4 arh 2 ir max)

I think the Kaan is probably too early in development for them to consider it but KF-21 would be really nice to see and perhaps things like the Su-47 and such if they add more 141 esque aircraft (even MiG 1.44 if they bend the rules enough, but Su-47 is a lot more likely since it actually had an internal bay and radome)
