What for? If they consistently make new US missiles bad what you gotta do is ask for fixes not a newer missile that will probably be terrible too…

Sincerely, I would like for them to implement the fixes for aim-120s and also add aim-120d-3.

forcing it to come early could leave it nerfed, and then they never come around to unnerfing it when stuff like R-77M, PL-15, Meteor, and MICA NG come along

Yeah that’s true but the community’s been asking for fixes for two years. I kinda want missile progression to happen and for more missiles to be introduced for all nations.

Last time missile progression happened for USA it was the C5 and it turned out to be a downgrade in most aspects…
You gotta keep asking for fixes, new inaccurate missiles won’t help alat

Not necessarily, having it come and then having next-gen IR missiles added soon after leaves the US with more leverage to request fixes, since I don’t imagine the aim-9X to be competing as well with its adversaries like how the aim-9m has done, leaving radar missile fixes as one of the only avenue to compete.
