Was it ever armed in US service? IIRC Italy specifically chose to arm their units but the US didn’t.
Switzerland also chose to not arm their Hornets with air to ground ordnance, but here we are with Swiss CAS Hornets
Yeah, USA didnt, but due to the limited number of them the Italians brought, they armed the T version (they only brought 2 airframes, and yeah gau12, aim9L/LI and the ground stuff)
could be a chance for the italians to get a another harrier more inline with the AV8B(NA) or GR.7

hear me out, put the PzH2K turret on a leo2 hull and smack era on it

Only for training with rockets and 25lb prac bombs. But all the same that meant they could fire live rockets from a LAU-68 or drop live bombs from the TER-9 rack
The main thing with TAV-8Bs is that they only had one weapon station per wing, instead of three per wing like the regular AV-8B. So armament was extremely limited.
Britain’s Harrier T.10/T.12s were the only version that was fully combat capable

Found this spanish one with sidewinders
