A new light IFV, hmmm, let’s use the process of elimination:
France recently got the EBRC
The UK just acquired the reconnaissance version of the Ajax, the CRV
Germany has plenty of advanced IFVs (PUMA Vilkas)
Italy also has a wealth of IFVs (Freccia ×2, Lynx)
Sweden also has many varieties of CV90
Israel has two Namers, and the IFV version of the Eitan is not yet in service
The US is severely lacking in advanced IFVs. The M3A3 is already too outdated, and the M2A4E1 equipped with APS should be one of the options. Although its performance in WT may not be outstanding, it… seems like there’s currently no really good choice?
The Dragoon only has a 30mm autocannon, the XM30 program has yet to yield results. Of course, if I could get a Griffin III, that would be fantastic, though that possibility seems very small… OvO
Russia hasn’t received a high-BR IFV for a long time. The BMDs we “recently” got are only 9.7 vehicles, and only one BMD-4M2 is available as Silver Lion. My BMP-2M is about to fall apart. Obviously, I guess Kurgenets is coming soon. It has two versions; the 57mm version is more “ferocious,” and the Kurgenets-25 is the basic model. I don’t know how they will be arranged, for example… Silver Lion ×1, Advanced Pack ×1? XD
I think the above two countries TT is the most likely
China also lacks advanced IFVs. The ZBD04A obviously cannot handle high-BR battles. I’m really looking forward to getting new ones, but I don’t know how the data can be ‘artificially fabricated’ lmao.
Japan doesn’t have any advanced IFVs with ATGMs. I can’t think of a suitable alternative for now. Indonesia’s Cobra (Pandur II) doesn’t have ATGMs, and the other IFVs in the tech tree are too outdated. How should this be dealt with。。。。
Sorry if you’ve already answered it but with AIM-120D coming is it going to be locked specifically for the new US jet or will some other US aircraft get it too like the F-15C GE, F/A-18E, F-15E?
Yes and no. Most auto cannons can’t destroy things frontally, this is why they are typically mounted on mobile platforms. The LAV-25 has a top speed of 60mph I believe, so you would be using that speed to get around the enemy, not face them. We have a light tank at 9.7, 9.3, 8.7, 8.3, 8.0, and then there is a gap to 7.0. The idea would be to fill that gap, and provide a play style not yet found in the US TT.
I don’t like the idea of limiting a vehicles capabilities for the sake of putting it somewhere. I 100% understand why you would do this if you genuinely had nothing to put in that space, but there is also 100% another vehicle that would be as capable as an LAV-600 with fewer ammunition choices, without removing from its capabilities, that the US developed.
I have the feeling that top tier ground stuff has pretty much been abandoned, or rather that the few noteworthy things that remain are being preserved for as long as possible. Not even copy paste stuff like SLOP V3 or BVM obr.2023 gets added.
Watch how they gonna butcher EW suites on both JAS39E and EFT cause they will not believe that Europeans can actually make one of the best EW suites :D
