With USA getting aim120D, Japan should have gotten the AAM4B alongside. The AAM4B will have less range but better tracking. We already have aesa radars in the game so i don’t think it would game breaking.
We already have it, depending on how you look at it.
The current AAM-4 doesn’t have the right textures, instead it uses AAM-4B textures
AAM-4B AESA seeker on the current in-game missile
Now of course textures don’t make a missile, but in this case performance lines up too, at least as far as the game is concerned. AAM-4B aside from the seeker is equal to the AAM-4, while the AESA seeker is a feature missing from all ESA missiles currently like the Type 81C ARH missile or the Type 03 missile, so as far as the current implementation goes we technically have AAM-4B.
Still missing mach 4.5 and again Gaijin is late on adding AESA seeker just like they added F2 late. They can’t think they fixed Japan top tier air by just adding a su30sm. If they’re fixing USA top tier, they need to fix japan top tier air too. If Micas got a better seeker for having a shorter nerfed range, I don’t see a problem with AAM4 getting a better seeker too. And japan only gets 4 aam4B so what’s so game breaking about that too? Gaijin should just add the B alongside the aim120d or right after.
Japan top tier is absolutely fine with the su-30 copy paste though.
“Japan” top tier air, its 13.7 right now
we are already very lucky that Gajin didn’t convert the hilarious AIM-120 pull nerf to the AAM-4
isn’t this because AAM-4 somehow not a copy/paste from AIM-120, it was Derby somehow(as far as i remember at Dev server)
Looks like Japan will have to wait another year or two.
It was a mix between a mica and a sparrow on its initial dev, lol.
i guess so? probably, i forgot. all i remember is that AAM-4 somehow fly shorter and pull harder than AIM-120, which is pretty weird since it got similar body with AIM-7
aim 7m pulls harder than aim 120 lol

We’ve officially lost the plot.
Mr worldwide the tech tree
are you stating a fact or something? or are we playing 2 different games?
I’m looking for information for this vehicle so I can make a Japanese Infantry suggestion

I got the Japanese translated to this:
特型警備車
Tokugata Keibisha
→ Special Security Vehicle (Special Riot Control Vehicle)
暴動などが起きたときに、しずめるのに使われます。
→ Used to suppress riots and similar disturbances.
投石などにも耐えられるように頑丈に作られています。
→ It is sturdily built so that it can withstand stone-throwing and similar attacks.
This is for a Japanese Riots And Tactics Squad (RATS) squad suggestion and this vehicle can be the APC core vehicles. Similar to how in enlisted there are transport trucks.
Any info will help in this as it seems to be a rare version.
So far I found a toy of it:
im talking about in game
then we must be playing 2 different games, even the stat card(which is worst for giving information)of the AIM-7M have less Max overload than the AIM-120A
Why does the current Japanese F15J sit with only four aam-4 but can carry 8 of the AIM-120a, I feel like this was a balancing decision that never got reverted when newer airframes came to the game.
The AAM-4 is Sparrow sized and uses the same launchers. It’s not compatible with the wing mounted LAU-128 like the AMRAAM is.
