Dance of Dragons and Drone Age teasers were released 29 august.
Yes. 5.3 and 6.0 are stomped by any 6.0 or 6.3 battleship. I guess naval also has some unfunny BRs that will carry on forever because of the capability gaps between ships
One at 8.x , one at 5.x
yes but they had 2 weeks worth of devblogs before hand, just like every update
The only fun in a battleship is to go to a custom room to fight tanks or enjoy the bombardment of modern missiles.
Very few have been 2 weeks
This economy update is bloody fantastic. And I’ll enjoy it very much.
i will start playing navy when subs out :)
its a 50/50 on being nearly 2 weeks, im counting a week and 3+ days as 2 weeks because its lierally the second week
I was going to say adding the Gnat xD
Keep ya story straight
im gonna see to it that it is in 2 weeks from today XD
Yeah, the only annoying thing is the sheir C&P in the TT’s.
Britain is one of the few which is almost fully unique.
Unlike Benelux, Finland, Thailand and Hungary, which only have a few unique vehicles in the TT.
Nice economy changes for naval
With Thailand and Hungary, we can at least say their top tier vehicles are unique. Leo2A7HU is unique, so will be Oplot. The Benelux Leo2s, however, are really just copypasta.
@Smin1080p_WT Sorry for the ping, but I’m curious: while staying vague, would you say you are looking forward too/excited for the vehicles coming this patch?
Many of which could’ve easily been replaced by modified variants that would fill the same niche while being unique and interesting.
For example across the leaked four Thai ground vehicles, three seem to be found in other trees. But this doesn’t have to be the case.
The basic M163 can easily be implemented in the form of the M163 TVADS Super Vulcan, featuring IR tracking device and sight alongside internal controls for the weapon. It’s still able to fill the same niche, while being more interesting.
The M60A3 has multiple options. There is of course the modernized Thai M60A3 TIFCS with new thermal sight and turret drive among other things.
But even when trying to stick to the M60A3 TTS specifically and the BR it’s placed at this Thai tank can be made unique through the addition of a unique Thai add-on armor set.
Then there is the Stingray, which is being added to the Thai tech tree (as the only operating nation) and the US techtree (as the developing nation). Personally I don’t have as much of an issue with this as others, but I don’t like the idea of copying the production model used by Thailand over to the US tree, where it was never used.
Instead I believe it would be better to play into the US as the developing nation, and instead add it as one of the Stingray prototypes. These could potentially feature slightly lower mobility and ammunition options fit for a lower BR, but even with identical performance they would at least be visually distinct and interesting, showing players that they are in fact prototypes for the production tank exclusively found with Thailand.
These would feature simple visual differences in their hull mounting points, mirrors, lacking gun mount attachment points and depending on the prototype either a different flat drivers hatch or turret with different smoke launcher and machine gun mount placement.
It’s really easy to make these vehicles interesting, even with what seems like minor changes. These are just somehow not done in many cases. Most notably ones like the ROC M60A3 TTS missing handrails on the turret since it simply reuses the US model with the ERA hidden.
Small details can really help such vehicles, so they shouldn’t be ignored.
“What do you mean we’re not allowed to have 5 more jets than everyone else?” :(
The problem… We have had maybe a single sub-TT vehicle that was actually a good addition. Every single other additions has either replaced a domestic option or been at the same BR as a deomestic option and major holes. The very thing they claim sub-tts are intended for have yet to be fixed.
For example
we have 2x SPAA at 5.3, 3x SPAA at 8.3 and 4x SPAA at 10.3x 10.0/10.3.
All 3 of those BRs have at least 1 sub-TT SPAA. But we have yet to get a single SPAA between 5.3 and 8.3. Just why? Delete those 4 sub-TT SPAAs and add one at 6.0 and another at 7.0. One at 9.0 would be nice too.
Again, we just got the Badger. You know what the Badger is? Most likely a downgrade to the Falcon, Fox and Scimitar. Do you know what we lack. A decent high tier IFV to match something like the PUMA, 2S38, etc etc
My problem is they keep adding bad sub-TT vehicles instead of either
A) Fixing bug reports for exisitng vehicles
or
B) adding a domestic option for the exact same role at the exact same BR
or
C) actually filling a hole within the TT
Im genuinely expecting to get an Indian SPAA at 8.3 long before we see a single SPAA from Britain or any commonwealth nation at 6.0/7.0 and thats the problem.
We have the weakest top tier MBT, to the point where we might as well not even be consider top tier capable and yet apparently im the problem for not wanting a C&P T-90 at 10.7?
Here it comes…
I love you morvran.
But yeah, the things you said i absolutely agree with.
