Italian and French things : P
Or you could be farming magic cancer rocks rocks while leading a PMC masquerading around as a pharmaceutical company
Its a unique US vehicle that nobody else uses, do you really expect it to be anything else other than a premium or event?
Oh it will be salt all around. I think every nation will have or find something to complain this update.
At the moment, im just most interested to see what this statement may or may not bring this major:
So we can expect some stuff over the next 3 or 4 major updates. But I wonder what we might see this major.
I would imagine they will just throw a dart at a dart board and decide who gets the ESA next that way.
But if i had to guess maybe the US or UK.
If Britain gets AESA, so would Germany and Italy. So it would be a good start. But I also reckon Sweden will be one of the first (that doesnt currently have AESA) if/when they ever get the Gripen NG
Though its not just AESA. Sounds like they have other things in the works like ECM
I think next AESA nation will be either the US (and likely UK) through the Super Hornet, China through one of their planes or Sweden through the Gripen NG or E (which could also go to Japan through Thailand in the future).
You say currently, does this mean there’s a possibility dual plane could be reconsidered and added in the future? In gaijin terms, it could be subject to change at a later date right?
Need me an fictional air superiority grey IAF skin for a Hornet
I wonder how this will play out for Italy and Germany
Apparently the Germans did trial some Super Hornets. Italy wouldn’t have much choice, AESA EFT is the main one and if you really want to stretch it Gaijin could add a Brazilian JAS 39E to the Italian tree.
Problem with the AESA EFTs imo is that if you add them too soon it will kill off a large majority of the 4th gen fighters that are still to be added.
Unfortunately a revival of a CDK asset will clearly mean no Yugo tree in the next year
We don’t have meaningful PESA too. It also is a sign of an advanced technology
Most likely could be this update for the UK as the CF-188 series use esa from what I’ve read
I still dont understand why Rafale or Gripen with AESA arent an issue but the EFT with AESA is.
Rafale is still only good at closer range. The Rafale is also already problematic though, the Rafale alone is one of the main reasons why the Hornets were and are so DOA.
Howeer the logic of “well X nation already has a problematic plane, so my nation also having a problematic plane won’t make much of a difference” is just typical nation main logic.
Ah I didn’t know that, well, not that I would be particularly happy about a Super Hornet haha.
Swiss subtree could still be a (?) since the F-35 deal isn’t going so well, but I guess it would take less time to see an AESA equipped german Typhoon before Switzerland decides which jet to buy IRL.
Where 99% of engagements happen due to the massively nerfed nature of Aim-120C5s (or AMRAAMs in general)
And yet that has NEVER stopped other nations getting better kit.
US and USSR Did not need IRCCM and yet they got top tier jets with them before 2 nations had anything that even came close to their non-IRCCM eqeuivalents.
F-15Cs and then F-15Es absolutely dominated for months without equal despite having perfectly acceptable Fox-3 slingers already.
etc etc.
again. Give me 1 reason why AESA equipped Typhoon would be so OP that 3 nations should be left with M-Scan on their main aircraft (2 of which have 0 options for anything else with AESA) whilst the other 7 nations with equal performing aircraft can get AESA without issue?
Currently means for the foreseeable future we have no plans. Missiles are configured correctly as intended. In the context you are asking, literally anything could be “maybe someday”. But that could also give false hope or misinterpretation if there are no current plans to speak of.
