its too good, when someone starts to buy premiums for a tech tree they are probably more likely to buy premiums to grind out another, they lose that with a subscription that lets you play whatever you want
The Su-25BM is an event vehicle and other previous such cases (all aspect missiles being introduced on stuff like the A-10). I don’t think they would waste the opportunity to lock Python 4s behind a paywall, so I wouldn’t expect either one of those planes to introduce Python 4s
I do understand what you’re saying, 100%. What I don’t agree with however, is Gaijin adding the T58 as a premium when there aren’t any alternatives to add to the tech tree, especially since the T54E1 is a premium as well. I do understand prototypes will be premiums, but not all of them should be, especially when there aren’t alternatives for TT.
It could also be that they are worried about the amount of blowback they will get when they add it with the same armour as base M1a2 and completely ignore the documentation regarding the new armor package.
Dunno, I feel like more people would be willing to pay for the subscription than for 70 bucks tanks and 80+ bucks planes.
Hard to tell which model would rake in more money in the end, but I feel like the subscription model would attract more players, which in turn would result in even more money being made
if there was a subscription like that, it would be so atrociously priced not many people would get it.
Putting a high pricetag on it would be a bad business decision and would definitely lead to people not paying for it.
Profits come from making smart business decisions and there definitely are ways to make a subscription service like this both profitable AND appealing to the customers.
i could see it being for individual tech trees but not covering event, sqv, or premiums
Its not about event or prem vehicle, its about having a gimped airframe with a much better missile to compensate for it, that was the gaijin’s mindset over the years, new type/ stronger weapon on a weaker platform, so it will be balanced
It’s also realistically what half the world does with defence equipment…import/export.
It’s also that WT is a video game where variety is important and not some catalogue of every nation’s operated military vehicles…
You’re not wrong, but even the major tech trees need most of their operated vehicles to fill functional lineups in ground battles. That inevitably leads to copy paste, because it happened in real life.
why do they try so hard to be one to the point of registering their video game fleet with the Guinness World Records then?

Rarely are copy past vehicles actually needed where no unique vehicles exist, especially now that Gaijin introduced sub-trees. Gaijin just does it to save on resources and time, use the unique vehicles for premiums or events and inflate the grind and their total vehicle number they use to brag in ads.
Yeah probably. It doesn’t hurt to have them though.
Except for the fact that a tech-tree is the nation itself, it’s the nation’s military and its branches, not the nation’s industry.
When I click on a tech-tree, I’m not playing whoever has the HQ in those nations, but those whose mark on the aircraft belongs. Lend-lease, captured, and import/export vehicles are things that happened in real life, and we see that reflected both in-game and in suggestions here on the forums as actions performed by the nations.
It’s also why the sub-tree system has major issues in its current form. As putting a nation with plenty of military history into one line(or less) doesn’t work. It fundamentally clashes with one of War Thunder’s core setups.
if a nation has a big MIC thats a major part of its identity ingame
Cool but your head cannon about the game doesn’t really matter, the devs never stated that their goal is to represent “the nation itself, it’s the nation’s military and its branches, not the nation’s industry.”, whatever that means. Sub-trees, prototypes, Test beds and captured evaluation vehicles all exist in the game and they were never a part of any active military branch and their existence clearly contradict what you said.
Also even if you are right, i really dont care, copy past stuff is objectively lazy and makes the grind and gameplay less interesting, this product is an MMO military game that does not depict any part of history, i want my non historic video games to be interesting and unqiue.
Is it known if PL-10 has datalink?
