But just going by the fact Brimstone 2s entered service in 2016, were first test fired on a typhoon in 2017 and entered service on the Typhoon in 2018, that the Typhoon should probably have Brimstone 2s not Brimstone 1s.
But theyd be so much easier to use than Brismtone 1s if still limited to SAL
insane to me its been stated that the US probably isn’t getting an SPAA which almost certainly means the UK isn’t which also screws over Italy as they both use CAMM, which I don’t care if this upsets the German players they should have focused on CAMM over the SLM to have it for this update, Germany had a better SPAA then both Italy and UK and if they prioritized the CAMM it would have helped 2 nations instead of one
It will be a slow rollout for all nations, I don’t think Gaijin wants everyone to have SLM-tier SAMs on top tier, otherwise it will be extremely hard to balance. Maybe when planes get ARM/HARM ordinance to counter these systems in battles, they will. They most likely picked Germany to try out LOAL on the IRIS-T and see how it performs.
That kind of explains their latest fetish on basically revamping the american ADATS instead of moving on and giving another system.
Still doesn’t justify the absence of relevant systems for minor nations, including GB with their ADATS which haven’t seen such level of revamp as the US model.
imho it’s about time the US got nothing all last year they’d got new stuff after new stuff, some it’s about time they had a back seat for at least an update or two.
thats fine just dont give it to germany, russa, china, sweden or israel
also the idea that they care about balance and they are adding a 40km sam in the same sentence is ludacris no way you swing it CAMM was more balanced could be given to more nations and could have went to nations that needed it more, its very clear gaijin chose germany just because they are one of the big 3
i mean i would like a revamp if they arent adding slamraam or US sam. Stuff like multi track, auto-lead, multi guidance, stabilized sight, correct gun elevations, correct irst ability to track in adverse weather, correct radar scan range(elevation, look up, look down), etc… would help
they can add MK.III missiles(which is 12km) although afaik DevilO6 said seems like only brochure exist so idk
This ‘X nation deserves no content for a season’ behavior is naïve and even childish, specially considering that you’re talking about the country with the biggest mil budget for about 60 years straight.
Yeah it’s a bunch of lifting body + control surface stuff right? Honestly it seems like black magic but with how good flight control systems have gotten I think it is true
Today, 29th of May, marks exactly six years since ADATS was added.
You can say they get a lot of aircraft, but specifically in regards to top AA - as was being discussed above, they (and UK) have had nothing for a long, long time.
