Specially when you remember that Naval isn’t played as much NOT because it isn’t as popular; but because it’s on a wrecked, miserable state as a whole.
When Gaijin addresses and fixes the issues, such as compression, terrible rewards or now the Arcade aiming system, I am sure it will be played significantly more and by more players. Sure, not as much as Ground or Air; but enough to be able to financially sustain itself and generate a consistent flux of players.
However it doesn’t seem entirely logical to start such refurbishment of Naval battles with new premiums/ranks that do carry the original sins from the gamemode itself. While its true they’ve been touching stuff from Naval mechanics-wise in the past, it’s far from ready to receive new content and be a blast-no-questions-asked update.
Allow me, as a complete ignorant, to doubt about it.
If that’s true to any extent, we shouldn’t be suprised by a ton of naval content in a single update after literal years of —mostly— dry updates in the naval department.
You are more than welcome too. I can only present the facts as they are.
Its not uncommon for an update to have a focus. Some may be a new tree launch, others an Air focused update, some Ground and some Naval. All of have had a time in the cycle before and it wont be the last time.
i still want to complain to the naval developers.
If the Bismarck gets added this patch, not having done the devblog today out of all days should be punished
Hey, maybe this update brings some solutions to these concerns!
They can’t possibly add these ships 0.7-1.0 BRs away from WW1 Dreadnoughts… so there must be some decompression planned.
Hopefully they will update the economy so that it doesn’t take 6 hours of gameplay to grind a single ship with Premium Account and Premium/Talisman ships xD.
And, most ideally; they may stop throwing BBs into 3 cap maps where 1 single stupid Torpedo Boat can cap in 20 seconds and end the match before any BB has time to do anything at all.
Also, they should at least give us to use Realistic Aiming in Arcade Battles, just like it was the case before, as an alternative to the new mess of a system which barely works as it’s suppossed to.
Those who are complaining about development without a honest reason have you tried to do your own development every update adds something new thats what an update is they have had these updates planned not everything will come as planned maybe now naval was ready vs that new tank/aircraft you wanted maybe a new game mode over fixing an old map you don’t know what is planned until they tell you and when they do you get upset cause it isn’t what you wanted
Why not? It’s clear that the naval team is really small (assuming it is more than the intern and stray cat he found). And the naval content for most updates tends to be one new ship and a coupe of copy-pastes with little to no gameplay changes. And since Gaijin outsources most of their models nowadays, its not surprising at all that they’d save up a new tier of ships for a single big update the way they’ve done air or ground.
It always blows my mind that so many players think the game revolves around them. I almost never get disappointed by a new vehicle even if I don’t plan to play it, because I know someone out there has been waiting for it to come.
