Yes i agree with you there. But theres another document that shares they exhanged a few more things from J/apg-1 tho again it wasn’t anything super huge. But it is intriguing that there is some ties there with the F-2 and F-22 radar developments.

Every Typhoon and Rafale is 4.5th gen.
I’m guessing it’s just a different way we see the military here. There isn’t much of a focus on German military in media, so it’s a little more mixed.

It really doesn’t, but it’s more that every time it gets brought it is usually in the context of “hurr-durr US couldn’t even beat little Japan to AESA tech”.
That and it’s the F-15, which is God’s gift to the free world and the best aircraft ever built

I mean the F-15 is literally my all time favorite jet so agree there.
But even still the F-2 is still the first aircraft built with AESA in mind from the get go. But again it doesn’t matter.
