yeah F-22 is just the more notable one, hell most people’s first introduction to the F-2 is most like Ace Combat 7 but that is a rather niche game compared to something like War Thunder
If it comes first, they are not going to model it’s stealth even close to accurately.
However, I could see it coming in the short cycle between fall and winter updates where the F-35 would likely come in other trees at the same time, and the US getting it in the latter patch.
You know that wouldn’t surprise me as that’s the newest installment. I first knew of it with Ace Combat 0 back in the PS2 days but I thought it was a fake plane at the time, just a blue F-16 lol
Guess how they did AESA!
Spoiler
I’m finding way too many F-2A parallels, almost poetic considering the influence Lockheed connection
I’m almost afraid for them to fix it at this point, and have an entire patch cycle where there are no stock ARHs because of their ‘fix’
With the APG-63v2 which predates it?
6+4 loadout, best radar in game, solid FM
We dont know that…it hasnt even been show in game yet…
AESA and PESA currently are impproperly modelled for the sake of balance, because with TWS mode it allows for alot more accurate TWS mode and allows a much faster firing sequence on targets since you can lock multiple targets at once
altho not a problem with F-2A Early, since no Fox 3’s for funny spam since its limited to Aim-7’s as its radar missiles
Yeah, not to mention F-22 may be the single biggest moneymaker in game history. I don’t think they will mess that up, too much for them to lose by screwing it over
Datamined 3d model
Right model…not performance figures…how it handles…etc…none of that is known yet
More turn F-16
tbh for the sake of balance, the F-22’s stealth model would likely be nerfed until more stealth craft are added and Gen4.5’s
Considering real world scenario; J/APG-2 is inferior to RBE2-AA.
All F-2 were able to use AAM-4. Hhowever only J/APG-2 enabled (specialized) Datalink guidance using J/ARG-1 transmitter - i.e. a F-2 with J/APG-1 would be able to use AAM-4 but only by guiding it via hard-lock.
I doubt that very much, but of course a US main would say that tho
We have 4.5’s infact more 4.5 is what I personally expect the raptor to come with in December
No. It wont handle anything like an F-16 because of all the changes to the airframe. So once again we dont know how it will fly at all.
IIRC, the F-2A’s flight performance is similar to that of the F-16C’s. Little bit more performance than an F-16A but all the extra weight means it loses an endurance fight
