Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

fair enough, for north europe purposes F-35 and Gripen E + F-16 will be just fine since you will only be going against 1 country with a ton of support from NATO if worst comes to worst

but for US, the extreme range strike and raw payload is very useful against the variety of threats we may encounter

each is better suited for their own countries needs (and budgets)

You also forget the EFT and Rafale, we have decent ties with Britain and France so if anything its more than just the Gripen and F-35. Again the F15 is entirely redundant to 90% of nations since we aren’t going to war, and even if we do we have each other and also 5th gen vehicles. Literally no reason for the F15 since again, its going to be doing the same job as the F16’s but its more expensive its a waste of money that could be used to further our society imo.

If I recall correctly:

I know China could get the one with a M24 turret.

The Aussies out a scorpion turret one there’s.

We but the SS.11 missiles one ours(as long with the standard recoilless rifle, and TOW ones)

There’s the one with the Belgian turret.

I can think of these ones off the top of my head.

There are 3 things that would be super cool to see

  1. More Styker and LAV variants
  2. More US missile Td’s
  3. Very early anti rad missiles with early advance SAMs

See why didn’t the US invest in this thing? Honestly F15 couldn’t fight back against the power of the M113, M113 will probably outlive the F15…

idk, m113 probably phased out around 2030, F-15 i think is going until 2040-2050

B-52 will never be retired though

You forget how many nations still use M113, the M8 greyhound is still in service in Mexico and Brazil

Let’s not get to where American made Canadian equipment should go. But yes I would love the Lav105 and Lav 25 and 35. Also the hellfire stykers are super cool

Buff will bomb on forever

as GDLS-C is subsidiary of USA company, and US is primary operator of LAV and stryker (LAV III derivative), so all LAV to USA tt

This really only applies in this scenario because lab and strikers are only made in the US to be exported. Unlike the F16 or F15

Depends on the snail tbh

they are made in Canada lol,

but more export F-16 and F-15 should come to USA, since those are made in the US

yeah pretty much, i mean UK will get Boxer and Ajax so they should be fine in IFV without any LAV

Sure, I just felt like if the issue was whether it was capable or not explicitly mentioned in documentation, can sidestep that entire issue by using the ASM-3 since it is stated officially to be used against ground targets?

At the end of the day, I’ll be happy with either.
