Man what i would give to see the RAH-66 Comanche in game
Would be amazing
Seeing the Suggestions for January has the 3105 on it:
They cheat, because was allready planned half an year ago to come xDDDD
Sorry mate, i’d simply feel safer sitting in the cockpit on a lone JAS-39E than an F-15EX, it’s got better EW and sensor fusion simply down to the fact that it plays an active role in suppressing enemy aircraft and their missiles well outside of AMRAAM pitbull range, combined with the incredible radar ,which lacks raw power makes up for it in functionality in features like NCTR and advanced modes that prevent jamming and interference, plus you have the ability to hold the Eagle at an arm’s length with Meteors (7 of them with 9 BOL) being technologically superior to the 12 AMRAAMs.
Besides are there any images of F-15EX with BOL since i always hear US mains blabbering on about it but never seen any evidence further than ‘it’s compatible’
Everything you just said the F-15EX does, hell, the F-15E does it all too
Except for meteors
No pictures of EX with BOL since it just entered service. And “it’s compatible” is enough evidence considering the USAF does have BOL pods available to them.
Do you think the Gripen E beats the F-35 in ECM though?
depends on the block of F-35, an early one vs modern gripen sure, but a modern F-35 or F-35I is better than anything else
well i cba to continue this cock measuring contest but personally i’d take a JAS-39E, i prefer light fighters anyways
Then we agree because the EPAWSS is more modern than the Barracuda on F-35’s
That’s fair, but Id like to be able to take 5 cruise missile and 8 amraams over turning better
Maybe it’s my nationality but I think it’s more practical to conduct Highway operations, operate in nordic enviroments, have a ‘short and sweet’ as opposed to ‘bigger = better’ approach to technlogical superiority.
In all scenarios over in Finland, a Gripen E is a better aircraft than the F-15 (of any model) simply because it’s tailor made for the Flygvapnet’s requirements, which closely mirror those of our Ilmavoimat
One of the reasons we bought the J35’s in Denmark, additionally we used the F16’s since they are cheap to mantain over other US options, also the amount of other companies with multitudes of upgrades for the F16.
True, for a more regional war the Gripen E is very well suited, but long range, high payload multirole for either very long range strikes or mopping up enemy forces after SEAD and air superiority is acheived, is where the eagle shines
It’s like the AR-15 of fighter jets
More like the british centurion or the Soviet T55’s, cheap and abundant. Also M113
Well yeah that’s why AR pattern is so widespread. They are cheap, common, and good
Idk rifles so im using vehicles lol, besides F15’s are way more expensive to maintain than most other fighters on the market and don’t offer much in the way of utility that other fighters dont already have. Unless you are actively in war it seems redundant to buy one.
M113 mentioned, what is a sensible hull.
We need more of the couple hundred M113 Frankenstein’ with all the turrets and things mounted on them.
Norway has them with stinger launchers, would actually give sweden usable spaa between 8.7 and 10.3 that can actually look up since guided missiles with 35° is worthless lol
Also that abomination the Isreali came up with that had the 60mm gun with no gun depression lol
doesnt the EFT have higher operating costs? also, they have much lower operating costs than 5th gen aircraft. and ive noticed ppl really underestimating the degree to which a modern F-15 can perform its tasks, i mean it has payload on every other fighter
What part am i underestimating? I simply said its just doesn’t offer anything that current market fighters cant already do. F16 is cheaper and we aren’t at war, besides we have F-35 also in our fleet. No reason to just buy a jet that will be more expensive that will sit around doing the same thing the cheaper fighter will do. F15 is a bigger price for none of the benefit when we realistically don’t need it. Besides if anything happens we have all our neighbors to help with joint operations.
