Yeah, the AT is the most advanced version of the Litening II with a better resolution, but afaik that wouldn’t matter ingame.
The AT also has other improvements, but none of those would matter ingame either.
Around what time can i look forward to the possible teaser?

if only they revamped TGP mechanics like 20km range cap
i think its about time for basic a2a and a2g datalink tbh, and more detailed mechanics regarding a2g stuff in general to make stuff like Litening AT more meaningful
The thing is, if they made these mechanics more realistic you would have extremely low resolutions for most of the TGPs currently in the game. The current resolutions are drastically improved over what most of the pods had IRL.

it would be a buff for coordination and tactics, but a nerf to individual a2g capability at lower BR?
while adding more depth and meaningful improvement to targeting equipment at higher tiers?

They only started getting good resolutions for these pods with stuff that we don’t have in the game yet lol
so there would then be a reason to add the targeting pods that the aircraft ingame should actually be using?
we could get F-15E desert storm with mavericks, paveways, and lantirn, then our F-15E could get early SNIPER pod, mavericks, and EGBU/LJDAM
and then a very late F-15E with modern SNIPER, GBU-53, maybe even JASSM

Litening II for example is pretty much period correct for most of the current top tier
Litening AT and other varaints, SNIPER pods
As far as I can tell the Litening AT would have that 640x512 resolution, which is very slightly better than what the current ingame resolution of the Lantirn pod is.
but would be quite an improvement over real resolution.
SNIPER also has 3-5x detection increase over Lantirn according to wiki so thats also probably significantly better than real lantirn

They are too monotonous in gameplay, I would even say boring. But an SAM with a separate radar system and IR seeker capable of locking on after launch based on radar data, that would seriously change the balance at the highest level.
(God, give Tan-SAM real capabilities, radar and missiles)

If it were to be added as part of a United Arabian tree then sure I wouldn’t have an issue.
If they had an issue then they shouldn’t have been exported, it’s that simple
