Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

The F/A-18A+ would probably still be too close to top tier for it to be a premium. It would probably be a squadron vehicle like the JF-17 is.

Gotta keep in mind that the A+ is pretty much just a C that has worse engines. I personally don’t expect that to make much of a difference in BR (eg. 13.7 vs 13.3). I’d expect both to be 13.7.

@Smin1080p_WT are we going to see teasers/leaks similar to the, “Leaked Classified Drone Footage,” video again? These were some of the coolest teasers we have ever gotten.

There were only two, not three.

The Leo 2A4 is the last thing that need any help at 10.7 lmao. DM33 would make a nice reason to move it to 11.0.

a second tech tree 10.7 would be great to make a real line up for non premium users

Sweden being the one with 2 10.7 leos 2a4s is just … , like so much other stuff in sweden

Yeah I wish we get more of those.

Oh- well, point still stands.

15x Top Tier Jets to 2x Top Tier Ground Vehicles over 2024…

5x Top Tier Jets per update on average vs 0.4x Top Tier Ground Vehicles per update on average.

arguably, gajins weird definition of top tier additions are only vehicles of the highest br of that moment…
so in their books HQ-17 and a bunch of the planes arent even top tier.

Thats whys the constant no top tier premiums is a thing but then we get 11.3 ground premiums with 12.0 being max

The definition Gaijin is using is one the community made up themselves

To be fair, that’s to be expected because Ground was focused on for quite a bit to the point that it’s caught up to modern day.

I can’t speak for Naval, but Air was in dire need of progression and expansion. Now that we’ve finally hit Gen 4.5s, every nation can more or less hit parity and represent with their modern air force. This is probably also why Gaijin has said they’re now taking a look at the CAS issue by sorting out new mechanics/vehicles for SPAAs.

All that is to say, we still have some more air to go, but the end is in sight so hang on a lil while longer.

My guess/hope is that the March update will add the 14.0 aircraft for the four nations that don’t have them atm. Then after that they will put out the article about how they are going to implement and test the multi unit SAM systems. I really want to see how they do Submarines :) I liked bot events they did (yes even the modern Subs) the WW2 Sub even was more fun though because of the game mode and objective imo.

It isnt, but we dont have much new to look at. Like this topic has discussed, UK, China, Japan, Israel and Sweden has designs that are more modern but features practically game-irrelevant upgrades.
Cold was is the gold mine and crazy designs like PZ87-140, M1CATTB and OBJ195 etc. But they were only “accessible” to a few.

That’s my point. There’s not much to add to ground that will fundamentally change anything in terms of actual vehicles. What Ground (and other game modes) need is updating the maps and game modes to support these modern conflicts.

I too hope for that 14.0+ F-2 for Japan but we shall see what Gaijin cooks up.

I would say 13.7 with AAM-4 and 14.3(.7 if it was followed by a general BR strech) with AAM-4B.

The ground now is focusing on CAS and IFV/LT, especially for those “small” nations, not everyone has such kind of Cold War monsters

I think it depends if it comes with a decent AESA radar and HMD. 13.7 without HMD seems fair, but with I think 14.0+ at least is warranted.

Precisely why it was so important to get the more modern CAS aircraft as it directly influences ground battles.

Itll probably come at 13.7 unless Gaijin fixes AAM-4, or dont give it AAM-5

Maybe F/A-18A+ prem when F-22 drops

But unfortunately, not every nation has KH38MT, due to some reasons that China and German still don’t have enough IR A2G missiles

To be fair, Germany has the Brimstones on a superb fighter. While it’s not fire and forget, it’s still more than capable of dispatching all ground targets including pantsirs with ease.
