What are u talking about, the autoloaders don’t blow up, it’s literally metal. The rounds, same as before, nothing changed still blows up as it should.
true, the Japanese were the only nation to really take the concept into WWII, even planning bombing raids on the US mainland, potentially to drop biological weapons into major cities.
Everyone else I think pretty quickly realized that submarines were better used for attacking before you’re seen, and having an aircraft in the air kind of gives you away
Besides we cant beat the Australians if we’re talking submarine launched aircraft
Is that an Oberon class? Surely that is fake.
Its real im afraid
Was probably only ever done once lets be real
Yeah, definitely not the intended use for either of those vehicles
how the F an A-4 can take off from that lol even with boosters
I have no idea, as i said, probably only done once if at all
Makes as much sense as this does
TBF as a float plane, that probably is able to take off from a carrier, especially as carriers can move quite quick when needed.
Subs are pretty slow on the surface, and jets need way more speed for takeoff
Idk navies have done weird things over the last century
For example
I think they are just fine. Su27 does incredibly well even without ARH (IK, R27ER is insane) and I have had fun with J8F despite it being probably one of the worst out of 13.0 ARH slingers. Still, some of the compression, I will tend to agree to his point that some of them shouldn’t be within 1.0.
Monitors, as a class of ship are just kind of mad tbh
Thats an 18 inch gun loaded via a railway system mounted on a monitor
The turret couldn’t traverse either so it was permanently stuck facing over the side with limited elevation angles
Honestly pretty standard stuff for a monitor
That monitor had a 12 inch turret as well as the 18 inch gun
So long as it floats, it’s fine
That 18 inch gun also holds what i believe is the record for a hit with a naval gun vs a stationary target
