France have planted the seed though. Now there is no reason not to add the Su-30 with BARS PESA or IRBIS AESA Radar. A new F-15 with an AESA Radar will surely follow, F-2 for Japan and Gripen E
And in a years time maybe a new Typhoon with a working Radar…

Irbis is also PESA. However, I agree that especially the minor Nations should get their stuff first, before the big three get AESA on already existing / additional 14.0+ airframes.

yeah, I’ve no issue with other nations getting AESA, just that the US is pretty low down the list of nations that need one right now.
And like I said, I’m hoping it comes to the F/A-18 first

You are right I always thought they did an AESA version of IRBIS!
F/A-18A+ would be perfect since it would have C armament and avionics with A engines, so wouldnt really take anything away from the tt

Those are atleast SARH on the Su-33, so its less likely they will just go for me. I am not saying that the Tech tree F-18C shouldnt get its 10 AMRAAMs, but the premium for everyones safety shouldnt

They probably wouldn’t add that in the same patch though, people won’t grind the F/A-18C if they can buy the near identical A+
i mean the engines would be quite a bit better on the C, and they could give it 120C-5 or even early 9X to set it apart
The F/A 18 would be very slow compared to everything at top-tier it’s missiles would have lower range because it would have a slower launch
