Honestly I feel like Briatain, alsongside their South Africa and India subtrees and whatever is going on with Australia/Canada (this might need some attention) is a good scale for “minor” nations. Still less potential than what the US and USSR bring, but if implemented correctly enough to match them enough and give every new player equal motivation to play Britain as those big nations.
It’s honestly a point I’d hope other nations to reach too, though then with subtrees reworked and no weird “half-subtree but not really” situations.

Indeed it’s part of the reason I desperately desire more lend-lease on the ground with things like the Sherman V would go a long way.
As it’s clear now unless the UK gets it hands in APHE it’s never going to have a useable shell at lower BRs, as what little solid shot had that made it “good” was given to APHE.

Not just that, but a test for the feature was rejected… It looked promising, would’ve been interesting to see how it actually performed since it wasn’t just a nerf, but a rework for APHE mechanics.

Put it like this way why should Sweden have more players than Britain all they have is the memey S tanks and weird toasters…Oh wait they get the joint best Leopard 2s in the game…and nice light tanks and IFVs.
Britain has none of that. I think every nation has a high tier light tank…in my top tier lineup I’m using a VFM5. People want to play Britain they just see the point when the pay off is the CR2s

There’s also the Rooikat MTTD that is somewhat usable at top tier. France has been the nation with the fewest light tanks lineups that could join top tier lineups, and for a much longer time than Britain. Although now, with a “top tier” light tank of 9.3 max, they have the lowest BR light tanks, with France, Japan, China having 9.7 BR light tanks. Japan and China benefit from a very good round even at top tier tho, while France has a usable but not great round for top tier.
