Yep same, things like Tornado Gr4 with ASRAAM, given a reasonable BR, wouldnt be even slightly OP, might even be worse off than just having Aim-9M. Especially as there is no chance they’ll be at full IRL strength
Usually if a pylon can take one type of mica, it can take the other type, are you sure about it CANT use MICA EM?
Because for the -5F for example, it can choose at will if it take 6x MICA EM or 6x MICA IR, or a mixt (IRL the most used one is 4x EM and 2x IR but all pylons can take whatever MICA)
I do agree with this. This gives Gaijin the opportunity to tweak stuff like their flare resistance of those missiles before bringing them to the widespread fighters.
They can change the missile, but has the same range, but has prox fuse and would be usable vs tanks.
I dont think the Stormer ever had a missile with a range greater than 7-8km
Tracked Rapier would be good to see in game as well, but that also maxes out about the same as the Stormer, maybe barely pushing out to ADATS range
The python 4 has already been rotting in the game files for so long i wonder what the ey could be saving it for, waiting for the eventual addition of the aim-9x and counterparts perhaps?
AFAIK The RMV radar cannot be used with ARH missiles
The brimstone boxer wouldn’t really work in game as it fires off to the right hand side at a fairly long minimum engagement range. Maybe the Ares based overwatch? Though I’m not entirely sure that doesn’t have the minimum engagement range issue.
I’m curious too NGL, it’d hard to guess when we will get those fancy ir missiles but imo aim9x BL1 and python 4 are like in-between generations. Better than what we have now but not exactly p5, IRIST, more modern 9xs. They have lack of loal and optical seekers

But whatever, best it can hold is 2x MICA (afaik), so it’s gonna be saddly meh for air battle, i’lm sad because visually i found them cool with the bigger dual cockpit.

not that, they got an upgraded version of the HVM, the LMM was more so a side grade
That boxer would definitely work in game but it just has a gimmick to it which you’ll have to position at longer ranges and to the side to use it successfully, reminds me of the LOSAT which is a very niche vehicle
You could say similar to the F-15C MSIIP with 8 Aim120
And Ka 50/52 with 12 Vikhrs Gaijin doesnt care for balance over realism
