Yeah just saying the firepower dosent stay behind either, plus AHEAD ammo it’s pretty good option for the 30 mm since it’s pretty cheap over other programmable ammunition

below you’ll find a graph comparing airbus ammunition of the CTA40 against regular 30mm. The French equivalent is still better than the 30mm AHEAD

Ahead dosent use explosives, hence why it’s cheaper and the spread cone can be programmed to be used against infantryman on trenches or concentrated against one objective foward like a drone or a helicopter, this graph compares it to the USA airburst ammo, still nontheless that is pretty impressive for airburst it’s double the explosión size for just extra 10 mm in radius

Waffentrager Mk2? But in fairness, the PUMA isn’t really comparable Edit: because it’s an IFV (which I somehow forgot to write, mb mb). Though the Jaguar’s firepower and sensors when considered on their own are objectively better. I guess a better analogue for the Jaguar is the M10 Booker - the latter being a bit useless at whatever it’s job is meant to be.
Yeah, the graph shouldn’t be compared to AHEAD. Though CTAS 40 has KE-AB (kinetic energy - airburst) which works the same as AHEAD from what I understand. All I know is KE-AB has 200 x 0.3g tungsten pellets, so I don’t know how that stacks up to AHEAD…

Closest thing to a J7 with Fox 3 capability is the FTC2000.
We can also get the export J7Gs with guided bombs in the future.

My quick google search talks about 192 tungsten pellets (but for the 35mm ? and there are different amont of pellets for the 35 as well?). I don’t see any infos on the 30mm specifically tho. But considering the difference in volume, I’d guess the 40mm to have more mass of projectiles in general
Interesting. Still, a premium J-8 would be my preference for rank 8. Anything better than the J-7D, or rather how Gaijin implemented the J-7D, will do though.

While I definitely don’t trust Gaijin to properly implement Akeron for the Jaguar, something similar would be nice to see.
The AMX-10RCR T40 already has the chassis. Which you’d expect it to be one of the more eligible additions as a result.

As for ahead 30 mm ahead has 164 subprojectileS but 35 mm has 154 idk why less but each projectile weights 0’64 grams

AKERON would probably be implemented as a longer range Spike. Might be interesting if devs added the option to look with a drone, to make it more unique
