Yeah. In SB the Phantoms are 10.7 and they feel signficantly more balanced.
I don’t think it will. The CV90 platform is older than both the PUMA and Jaguar platform. The Puma has better survivability, while the Jaguar has god sent optics and electronics in general, a 40mm auto canon, AKERON missiles, and much better mobility with its main* downside being the lack of protection against RPG type threats (only STANAG 5, and no APS despite the use of a cope cage). Don’t get me wrong, the CV90 is a great platform, but I don’t think it can be considered “the best”. Nor can te Puma, or the Jaguar for that matter. They all have specific strengths and weaknesses, and would fit better in different types of environments

The PUMA is up to date in terms of electronics and it’s autocannon it’s much more powerful than other 30mm, and it’s mobility it’s pretty good together with it’s survivability being pretty goddarn good for an IFV
I’m saying it like France has consistently has consistently been about 10 years more advanced than Germany when it comes to this. The Jaguar is fitted with “4th gun” thermals for exemple, which is the first armoured fighting vehicle in OTAN service to have it. It’s so new that not even militaries agree on how to define 4th generation. From public knowledge, it’s apparently about multi-coloured thermal imaging (and not the “its hot so its red”, but representations of real colours based on materials and shit)

I was about to say. It truly is. Has detection abilities par excellence and the best integration of ATGMs. The only thing the PUMA does better is protection but well, the Jaguar ain’t exactly getting hit it in the first place…

Yeah if it was a fair comparison the Boxer waffentrager Mk2 would be more similar to the jaguar than the PUMA since the PUMA it’s an IFV jaguar it’s an AFV
Jaguar is using a 40mm auto canon. However good the 30mm of the Puma is, I doubt its any better than the CTA40, which officially has between 170 and 200mm of pen (170 being numbers from an previous test, and ~200 from the discovery that the APFSDS has been lengthened after this test, so we assumed a linear increase in perforation using the L-O formula, however bad it is)
