It isn’t really, no. But being about 1.96x as hard as RHA it would make a considerable difference in game. Though I don’t know where exactly on the tank it is used considering the layout is still highly classified and Gaijins depiction purely fictional.
It could just be everywhere with RHA now, but considering the high price I doubt that. It’d also generate more spall, so it’s likely not the innermost armor layer, or the tank is using some form of spall liner we (once again) don’t really have any information about.
all of the RHA is replaced by nanocrystallyne steel the armor itself does not use nanocrystaline steel its the external armor, that’s partially why weight its decreased too, but thanks to this it acts as some kind of ballistic shield due to its impact absorbing capacities decreasing shell penetration and allowing armor to be more effective, basically same principle as the Leopard 2 cheeks
