Mistrals have 96% success hit IRL, i guess the RNG is FAAAAAAR away in WT x)
There is a guy who wants Aim-7s to have a 90% failure rate because of their issues in Vietnam
But yeah, Mistrals miss all the time in game.
I mean true, but the issue is that one, RNG factors in a game are frustrating; and two, TVC causing spirals like the ones shown in the images a few replies above shouldn’t really be an RNG thing (it seems more of a “you launched it in the incorrect conditions, and therefore the TVC couldn’t fix the trajectory” thing).
Hopefully on the morrow.
I’m specifically pointing out the Mica-EM speficially has a huge NEZ
Well right now the skill is having enough sense to grind Sweden. Picking meta vehicles is the most important, then some map knowledge.
Everything else is vehicle limited anyway.
Sweden is honestly just such a fun tree in general.
The missile tries to confuse the target so that it does not know which way to dodge
The solution then is to add AIM-120C and R-77-1 though
I just realised the start of the Benelux tree would 1 to 1 mirror the Finnish tree.
Fokker D.XXI
Buffalo
Hurricane
P-51
The Me 109 can be swapped with the Spitfire.
They just aren’t 50g.
PL-12 was tested, you can imagine how unfun it was to fly J-8 in the dev server testing ARH.
Its very possible that Mica-EM is simply not appropriate to add right now.
I suppose it’s intended to be offset by the M2k being not quite as good as some of the other ARH singers.
In any case, we’ll probably get it, the thrust vectoring will likely remain broken and we are going to have to just cope with more power creep and overpowered vehicles randomly dropping in a patch for no good reason.
Then the mica will never be fit to be added because from here on out for the most part missiles are less maneuverable but increase in range.
I at least hope they’ll at least include the Fokker G.1 as well, my favourite WW2 plane. I would dread if that one becomes an event vehicle…
I understand that, moreso pointing out that later AIM-120s and R-77s will have more range as their advantage. Asymmetric balance while MICA retains the advantage of close-in manueverability.
To be fair, they might add J-10 this patch, who knows. Would be a far more viable platform than J-8. I also played the J-8 on testing event. Hopefully that’s not going to be China’s main ARH slinger.
I mean theyre wrong but ok
Same but I doubt it
TL;DR: I think the planes used in testing won’t be entirely indicative of which planes will get ARH
This is conjecture but I think they were just trying to test each missile rather than the platforms they’re on. Iirc the US plane in the testing was the only one with AMRAAM when other planes in the game at the time could have taken it too, the SAAF Gripen was in testing with R-Darter but the SWE one (which would have carried AMRAAM iirc) wasn’t.
There is no way MICA is getting added this patch. Even with the wonky thrust vectoring it was the clear best out of all the ARH missiles during the test. With that fixed it will be an unflareable R-73.
More likely France gets an Belgium or Dutch F-16 with AMRAAM this patch.
Yeah I think they just put it on airframes for testing and it wasn’t necessarily indicative of anything.
I think that the Derby missile will come on an entirely new platform since to my understanding only the F-16I Sufa had test fired the Derby for the Israelis, so that might come next patch?
