This is a very strange time to get back into the forum, especially since how much I dislike the way the current leak list is presented.
Im completely on the fence about subs. They could be really fun or deeply frustrating for everyone.

I don’t think I understand what you mean. It’s not the leak list that bothers you but the way it is presented ?
They give dedicated roles for pt boats and destroyers in later battles. That alone is a great addition but I look forward to playing them

Yeah they do. But I see it going a few different ways

ASW is really strong and subs can never get close enough to do anything effective. If they try they just get sunk instantly by sub-chasers, Frigates or Destroyers

Subs are totally OP and people just find themselves randomly exploding with no warning or defence

Both 1 & 2 simutaneously and it entirely and completely comes to the map and luck of the draw for who’s on your team

The gameplay is perfectly balanced by NRB matches are way too short for you to ever do more than fire off 1 or 2 torps right at the end of the match

Really interesting cat and mouse Sub vs ASW gameplay layered ontop of the current gameplay where nothing is too OP

Bad wording on my part, technically both.
The way the 2A4M and Vextra are presented as ? is very upsetting. BeNeLux being an exclusively French thing means France is most likely to get more copy-paste that isn’t needed then anything that will be actually useful to the tech tree.

I am somewhat betting(more hopping really) they will add ARHs to all the airframes that can get them in game.
Right now bb dominate and most players won’t play anything lower then a cruiser in those br. Submarines with spawns near cap circles can contest and defend the cap points making players add smaller vessels to their Li eups to clear the points to make them safe for the big ships. I predict a shift in the balance of what and how many bb are played.

A few like the Tornado F3 or JA37D im hoping they add a second airframe which would have ARH and be at an appropriately higher BR.
but for most for them to get ARH and move to appropriate BRs for (like the Gripen or F-16)

Sure but the more reserved folks were once again saying it’d be too soon and that we’d need more decompression before newer top tiers.
I will say there is a difference now in that air is at a point where any of those additions could be added without disrupting the top tier meta. It would be painful for people getting uptiered, but the top planes can deal with new threats just fine. Gripen A/C for example is pretty much future proofed against any future additions besides maybe things like an F-22. ARHs and unavoidable IRCCM’d IR missiles are great equalizers.
That is all to say, any update could bring in say Gen 4.5+s and not much would change. However, Gaijin likes to pad things out because vehicles are content and money. If they released things too quickly, then they’ll run out of vehicles and then need to find some other way to monetize their game every update.
Yeah, thats true. Though that could also be fixed by just moving everything currently at 6.0 or higher up a full BR. Giving more space for Cruisers and Destroyers. Nothing is worse than entering a 5.7 match in a light cruiser and finding a wall of 6.7 BBs all firing at you.
But yeah, I am looking forward to subs. The event was fun, but difficult to tell what its going to be like in actual NRB matches.
Additionally im worried they’ll follow WoWs and only add Subs to US and Germany initially.

Fingers crossed that can come sooner rather than later with the seperation of air and ground BRs
It’ll be interesting to see how the split will affect both game modes.

Yeah it will. A LOT of my concerns in this coming update could be addressed with even light decompression of top tier.
For example. The FA2 could be really oppresive vs some 11.0s/11.3s and may need to be at 12.3 just to protect them. But if some of them could actually move down a little, without overly harming anything below. Then maybe the FA2 could be 12.0 and do a LOT better without being oppressive.
(also cant wait for the Tornado Gr1 to finally move to the correct BR)
They also hinted at decompressing top tier tanks as well.
