You are over-estimating the value of the R-27. Despite the fact the Su-27 can carry six R-27, it is consistently rated among the lower end of top-tier jets (12.0 - 12.7). The is because people have learned to play around it and the meta now overwhelmingly favours jets like the Gripen and F-16C due to their dog-fight performance, which is an area where the Su-27 is lacking.
And the R-27ET is basically just a meme missile. Its long burn time means it’s very easy to spot and I find most of the time it misses simply because whoever I’m targeting accidently flares it while they are defending against some other missile. Or they just have automatic CM release on.
You might be right, I don’t play sim and I don’t think Gaijin does either.

No, no they dont.
The difference to other sarh missiles is the r27er has a massive no escape zone talking about ground hugging is irrelevant.
R-27ET is almost useless because of how incredibly flare-hungry it is. R-73 has a high NEZ but it is flare susceptible.
The ARH are almost uniquely immune to countermeasures and require long range to be able to notch.
Hug the deck, but the second you go above the tiny safe altitude, you die.
If we didn’t have the multipathing, we’d have no gameplay next patch. Or I’m unsure what the gameplay would even look like.

The R-27 is the best SARH missile, yes. But it’s the best of the worst. As I said the Su-27 gets six R-27s, so by your logic it should be the best top tier jet, but it isn’t. Speak to any competent top-tier pilot and they will tell you that the Su-27 is among the worst top-tier. The performance of the R-27 is nowhere near enough to carry it or the MiG-29.

flight performance wise for sure but the r27er was added far earlier than it was needed came like a bandage for the Mig 29 not getting r73s which is a completely different situation to the mica as there is no alternative and it is only outclassing these other missiles at ultra close ranges.
