I wonder what the rest of the update is going to be. Like, at nearly the end of the Alpha Strike Dev blog season, we got surprised by F-5E FCU out of nowhere, and with no Japanese vehicles on the leak list, I wonder if devs are going to pull another surprise.
Or maybe that I am coping and hoping for some Thai vehicles (っ- ‸ - ς)

This continues to be the darkest timeline.
Gaijin is backing themselves and the community into a corner where they might as well just make a single European tech tree with how similar everyone’s becoming.
I don’t want a Dutch AMX-13-105, I definitely don’t want the CV9035NL either. The best they can give is a copy paste Leopard 2 which will ultimately add nothing to France.
So I will continue to be as loud as I can until I ultimately give up again and go right back to not playing.
The Mowag FL-20 and Panzer 61 SAMM would have been a few that France had direct influence in.

Gaijin give it a test round made of steel instead of tungsten or uranium. 152mm gun’s tungsten or uranium rounds are around 900-1000+mm pen
Damn… the French coastal tree was the whole reason I started using War Thunder forums some 6 years ago. I still remember the Q&A late 2018 saying that it was difficult for Gaijin to find infos on French coastal ships… Which is why I started making suggestions, buying books, etc.
Well, let’s see what Gaijin’s gonna put in that tree. The truth is, when it comes to WW2 stuff, France used a lot of borrowed small boats from the US and the UK. Worst case scenario would be going for those that are already in the game and completely ignoring home made stuff. Hopefully, we’ll still see unique French stuff added. Would be nice to see a Chasseur 5 class here, some heavily modified Indochina river boat there… Maybe even the early unique French made torpedo boats.

Gaijin should finish French Blue water first before committing to the mess that is an unnecessary part of the game right now.
They haven’t even committed to polishing the entire French tech tree as a whole. Which if the leak is true, their approach to BeNeLux will likely just be slapping a bunch of copy paste vehicles that don’t add anything of value to the French tree but will only serve to bloat and weigh it down.
I’m not going anywhere near the CV9035NL or a Leopard 2 that has a Dutch roundel.
I certainly hope the development and management teams are getting a good whiff of how bad this is already working out.

My guy, as I see it, this coastal tree should have been added at the same time as the Bluewater fleet. Adding it is actually “finishing” the French naval tree as far as I’m concerned. So that’s always good to take. You know, as long as good decisions are made about this tech tree, most notably regarding missile boats for example.
