There is SM.79B in the regular tree under Romanian flag.
First most likely will be premiums and maybe SAM, as the tree lacks it badly, though we don’t know what Gaijin will do for sure.
well, at least in a dogifght, ICE vs F3. ICE will probably win, unless the finished Tornado FM model actually helps a lot
Yea, that’s what I mean, since Sweden is getting their Gripen C too, which would align with everyone getting their Fox 3 planes at the same time part.
I think they will be great if used properly and I think it will change some tactics, but overall it’s mostly a boost to planes that aren’t best at dogfighting as they can stay at range and retreat before things get closer.
I’m curious if multi-pathing will still neuter these or if by firing them at longer ranges and having them come straight down on planes, it’ll avoid that issue and be deadly at range if not notched/chaffed.
Yeah, thats my worry, that hugging the deck will still result in them lawn-darting instantly. Making them just as useless as SARH are for the trucks. Because even if they are defeatable but dangerous even at low alt. Then aircraft like the FA2 are going to be really really fun. If not, if they are completely countered by flying lower than 300ft. Then, FA2 might as well be 10.7
like i said doesnt garantee Uk grippen to get fox 3
How do you mean? If Sweden gets Fox 3 on their Gripen, then UK will get it too, and they’ll up BR it if they have to. Unless you mean Gripen C doesn’t use them?
Considering it is being used to fill a fighter gap at its BR it’s more likely they will get a different Commonwealth plane to fill that role.
That’s if they don’t give the UK one of its domestic carriers.
No, Britian’s Gripen C could remain as it is to avoid a BR increase. (essentially keeping it a equal to the Gripen A)
We do have 2 other options for Pre-Typhoon AMRAAM Carriers. 1 of which is already in our tree and would be a straight C&P. The other is essentially already in our tree, just needs a new radar
many vehicles dont have their full armament and dont get the missles they use, because gajin wants some vehicles to just stay at their specific brs to fill that gap
Understandable but they have up BR’ed certain aircraft in the past. Like the EJ Kai which got the AIM-9L and got moved up as a result (IIRC, it went from 11.3 to 11.7 in the planned BR changes after Apex Predators update).
Actually I took a look at the dev stream, the devs mentioned when Fox 3s are added Gripen should get it too.
yes but again the grippen is supposed to be the fighter option at the “lower” top tier, the biggest pain of the UK-playerbase was not having a fighter available from 11.0-12.3/7 , its supposed to fill the fighter gap that was missing since quite some time, raising its br even further misses the point.
talking about swedish one, that was before the community outcry that UK gets the better grippen and their decision to give sweden another version later on
I think they plan to fill that gap with the Fa2 and later F3
All of the MiG-23 fighter variants unlock the R and T versions of the R-23 from one modification, so it 's not w/o precedent. Though, my personal opinion is that the projects of alternate homing versions of the R-77 and of the R-27EA probably never produced actual game-viable weapons.
I’m wondering how that’ll affect aircraft w/ restricted a2a or a2g armament once the BR/mode separation is implemented.
hard to say, depends on how much fox 3 will increase its br
Yugoslavia has more than enough to have fully fleshed out trees, so no, this is far from unrealistic.
Sure, but there’s no reason they wouldn’t add the AIM-120 to UK Gripen as opposed to some Tornado because they’d want all the Fox 3 planes to be at max BR for the time being, initially anyway.
Like I know the USSR Mig-29 gets shafted compared to German Mig-29G but at least USSR gets the Mig-29 SMT which is a similar platform and also Su-27 now as well.
Also what @Mytho61734 said, they could fill the gap caused with other planes later. At the end of the day, the focus is top tier competitiveness > filled BR ranges here, especially when nations have limited options.
Hell no.
You hurt me
For some, its not going to change anything, might even make the case even worse.
Take the Jaguar GR1A. It should have Aim-9Ls but its not possible because of its 10.3 BR.
WIth seperated BRs it could go to 10.7/11.0 and get Aim-9Ls or have an ABR rating that is appropriate for what it has currently, like 10.0. I reckon they will prefer the latter rather than the former.
Though I would love to see them adding the option for gamemode specific loadout options. So things that could be really OP for GRB like Brimstones are disabled, but for those who want them for ARB/ASB. Get them
