Taking their time with it i don’t think it better then meteor just has more range
And that extra range wouldn’t matter for the game if the maps are kept as they are.
I’m not even sure it has better range than Meteor since it’s not using a ramjet engine and may be smaller (less fuel) to properly fit within the bays of F-22/F-35.
It may be better than Meteor in other ways however, going theory is that it will have an AESA seeker but there’s no confirmation of this.
Yeah Meators ramjet just makes it a game changer
Im pretty sure meators are getting an AESA seeker upgrade
That is correct, for the Meteor MLU. But AIM-260 will be here sooner and MLU might not be here for several years, so in terms of Warthunder we could have AIM-260 and Meteor MLU would still be in development.
difference is gajin propably wont add the AIM-260 for quite a while, its a brand new missle without enoug data
Will probably come before meteor unfortuantely
Well, it’ll be a few years before Meteor or AIM-260 has a place in the game. So at the very least, Gaijin may have enough basic information by then and assume it’s an upgraded AIM-120D with possibly AESA seeker.
eh wouldnt be to sure, we will see in the end, additionaly gajins implementation of aesa is questionable as well in the first place
M is typically “modification” for nomenclature purposes, but I think you could see it as multirole in this context as the Su-30M was the first flanker to have guided A2G capabilities.
If it was Su-27SK then I’d say sure. The problem with non-official sources is people blend letters for designations like they are interchangeable. When I google “Flanker Slotback” I get results for the Su-33. Nothing I’ve read from all the sources I have suggests that the Su-33 (only about 18-25 produced) ever had anything other than the base N001 Myech radar. Only deviation in that area is the FCS which was modified to allow for the targeting of naval vessels. The RCS is different (probably similar), but the radar is the same as the stock Su-27. There’s no way, assuming the “slotback” is the Su-33, that the EF would have the exact same advantage over the Su-30SM, Su-35, and Su-27SM3.
If they’re talking Su-27SK it’s still a Myech, but if I wasn’t clear enough Su-27SK (J-11 in Chinese service for example) is basically the same as the Su-27S, the stock Su-27 we have in game, and has the base N001 Myech.
Hopefully that clears things up.
How possible would it be for us to get another skin trophy before the next update? I’m somewhat disappointed about Japan only getting one skin last trophy
aim260 is not even in service, estimated is 2027
Fair enough thanks, so neither MLU or 260 will be in the game even a few years from now unless Gaijin wants to consider test firing the AIM-260 as acceptable, and that could occur before 2027?
thats the nice thing, we dont need the MLU, the Meteor missle is one of the best, if not the best missle on the market either way right now
Every one is expecting that American is gonna get the F15C with AMRAAMS but let me throw a currve ball and they get F14D with AMRAAMS
For China? Definitely, as they have a lot of options and could even revive a foreign jet from Pakistan or something similar.
For Italy, they have options to buy not as frequent, but I suspect they will get one sooner than later.
That would definitely match the pattern of attacker premiums that Gajjin likes to hand out
JH-7 basic it might be premium pre-order pack in gaijin store after Nanchang A-5C ? Really ?
For Italy there are a lot of options, especially since more Hungarian and Romanian planes (maybe some IAR-93/99 variant or just some C&P MiG-21/23 variant) can be added, including premium. Plus there are options of Italian origin (can be a variant of AMX, Aermacchi MB-339, Tornado).
PS though store team said “there is no commercial sence to add more packs for less popular nations”, so it’s better to lower expectations.
