The 5F is plenty enough with MICA missiles, Magics, and if they add MAWS to it.
Maybe they’ll just need to do the Yak-141 or Tornado IDS approach. iether add features it never had or omit most of them
I know.
Well, one of the biggest feature of the Rafale was its low RCS of 0.01m^2 (obviously weapons increase this), but I’d rather they delay it than butcher it.
LF.1 didn’t have a gun, full F.1 had one. Though it doesn’t make a difference wether you add F.1 or F.3.3, if we leave MICA IR out, the only truely game relevant changes are CAS and some QoL features.
Maybe, either way. I dont think they can bury it till 2025. Not unless they slam on the breaks for all other nations. I dont really want to be fighting an F-15 with AESA and AMRAAMs in a Sea harrier for an entire year
Ah okay, thanks for the correction. But yeah, sounds like F.1 had all the airframe features while Typhoon DA didn’t
Well, it would depend on what they added from other commonwealth countries for UK like Australian Hornet C. Italy could get Gripen C with fox 3s.
I hope not.
@Smin1080p Will the battlepass include any decals similar to the Patachutist Badge of the US Army or the insignia of the XVIII Airborne Corps?
Yeah… But I dont really want to be using other nation’s stuff for all eternity. Im not really having fun in the Gripen C, because well, its not British. If I wanted to fly it, I would have grinded the Swedish Tree.
(dont get me wrong its not bad in anyway, minus the bugs, just no emotional connection with it)
We do have other vehicles to keep us going for now.
Tornado F3 AoP
Sea Harrier FA2
Harrier Gr9A
Tornado Gr4
All 4 would add something important to our TT and probably at least 3 could come before Typhoon. But none-the-less, Typhoon would be our BR13/13.3. and we arent far away from those.
u will see on monday, thats the release that of the BP info devblog
Valid take, but all Gaijin cares about is if a TT has options and little regards to the quality of options. British players grind the tech tree because they want British vehicles, same for any other TT.
Yep. Kinda why im really excited for the new EC brackets. FIrst time since it was added I’ll actually be able to play the Tornado F3 in something other than a full uptier. I’ll probably be in the Torando F3 more than the Gripen C over the coming months and the Sea Harrier FA2 will probably replace the Gripen as my top tier fighter, even if the Gripen also get AMRAAM.
I would guess perhaps it would at most get early AMRAAMs while they lock ASRAAM and later AMRAAM behind EF2K. And then lock Meteor behind even later EFs (AESA)
Oh yeh, no chance on ASRAAM, but the important part is the Data-link for the AMRAAM.
Im guesing it will have 4x Aim-9M and 4x Aim-120B or Aim-120C depending on where they want to put it.
Im guesisng Tornado Gr4 with ASRAAM (only 2 and more limited intergration) assuming it also came with Brimstone too as that will force it to a higher BR as our first ASRAAM carrier.
Im semi-dubious if we will ever see Meteor as other nations (other than those that use meteor) would lack an equivalent. But those are years and years into the future
Could Typhoon DA even use any IR missiles earlier than ASRAAM btw?
L/i’s too.
On the Typhoon thread, AIm-9L is listed. That might be Aim-9L/i or just straight Aim-9L.
But a key part of ASRAAM and I think IRIS-T is that htey share mountings with AIm-9. So I think the Typhoon DA2 would have a loadout like 4-6 Aim-9M or Aim-9L/i and 4-6 Aim-120Bs or Aim-120Cs
PL-15 and R-37M exists. AIM-260 will be in production this year and allegedly will be put on late 4th gen US platforms.
