THough it does raise this simple question. Why couldnt the Typhoon be added first?
We saw F-16s and Mig-29s leap frog ahead and other nations were left in massive uptiers for most of a year.
Why cant the US and USSR be faced with Uptiers vs Typhoons and rafales for a change? Is that really so heretical?

IRST only on the RAF Typhoon, not Italian and German Typhoons and most of those defensive systems were likely not fitted to the DA2. Only the full F2

I’m not sure why he thinks that the DA Typhoons were kitted out exactly like the production models, but it is interesting to read his takes nonetheless.
Mig-29 in its current dogfighting performance is fine/decent and isn’t a leapfrog from Mig-23ML except in certain aspects. F-16s were a bus at high speed, and should be nerfed but devs dragging their feet. And as far as US/USSR being faced with uptiers, I don’t disagree with the premise of what you’re saying but that requires players to stop spending on those tech trees. I’m doing my part.
The MiG-29A is drastically better than the MiG-23ML, and the F-16A bl 15 ADF is drastically better than even the F-14A.

F-16, maybe, but it was still a notable upgrade at the time with 9Ls still fairly rare.

Minor nations are less popular because they are always handicapped.
They also always make the argument that minor nations have less to add than other nations like the US/USSR which is why they get less vehicles.
would it not make sense to give them something like the Typhoon first, because Britain for example doesnt have many, if any other fighters left. Stick it at 13.3 and it will last us until nations eventually get up to 13.7/14.0 then we can get the Typhoon F2.
I’m against Rafale being added so soon (I like Rafales) but from what you and others have said, I wouldn’t be against Typhoon DA

The thing with France, however, is that there are other models of the Mirage 2000 that are better than the -5F that can be added before the Rafale, however Britain and Germany have nothing else until the Typhoon (Italy can get an F-16 with AIM-9Ms and AMRAAMs, however it would not make sense to not give it one also).
No, none that properly fit in the game. Rafale A couldn’t fire any missiles. Rafale F.1 didn’t have a gun, this leaves Rafale F.2 which carries all the production features such as IRST, MAWS, LWS, and etc.
Yep, though only an F-16A for Italy, bascially what they have now but with better AAMs. Hungarian Gripen C is also an option.
But yeah, its Britain and Germany that Im most worried about.
F4F-ICE doesnt sound like it will be fun for very long. Especially depending on what is added to other nations at the same time.
