They can add a model or promise vehicle like IL-40P in a QnA and then ignore it for 3~ years.
MiG-29M will be trash, it’s still trash. Gotta be a Flanker. 8xR-77’s and 4xR-73’s vs. 2xAIM-9M’s and 6xAIM-120C’s, seems fair enough to me. You have to remember Bars radar is good, but F-15C will be better.
Lets face it, F-15C is going to be in the game and dominating for at least 6 months before Typhoon is even considered
And they’ll tell us it’s fair because Gripen C came to Sweden and Hungary. They might even try to appease other nations with more mid-mid high tree planes to calm everyone down. F-4F ICE and Su-24 (not M because it can’t be too nice), J-8II PP, another Harrier/Tornado. Of course Israel will secretly get a nicer F-15C.
Yep… I reckon Sea Harrier FA2 with 2x AMRAAM vs F-15C with god-knows how many will be considered “fair”
You can’t know that.
The Su-35’s N035 is capable of +/-120dg azimuth, as well as elevation. That dwarfs the MiG-29SMT’s +/-90dg, and makes the AN/APG-83’s +/-60dg look like a joke.
As for the Su-30SM, it has a decently potent radar while matching the carry capacity of a Super Hornet.
These should not be facing anything but Gen 4+ or Gen 4++ aircraft at the very least. To put these against an F-15C would be hilarious.
As for the Su-27SM-3, do you really want 3 thrust vectoring capable aircraft?
No, no, absolutely not. If they added F-16C++ or the F-16V, it may be excusable… But that’s far from the F-15C.
The Su-30SM is one of the most maneuverable missile buses on the planet. Seeing as it’s been seen with R-74Ms, this is by no means a contender to ANY gen 4 aircraft.
They’d be carrying a decent amount for their size and capabilities, though I agree that the ideation of its airframe and purpose has become outdated.
We had Tornado Gr1 in the same update as the F-16 and Mig-29. Another 3 months till we got an A2A jet to replace the Phantom FGR2 (which was 4 years old by that point). Another 3 months till it was usable with a decent radar and then another 6 months before we got something that could even stand a chance vs 12s not too mention the 12.3s
US, USSR and Israel got 12.3s before 2 nations even got 11.7s. and it took 3 months for those 2 nations to get 12.3s. Based upon 2023. We can assume that the Typhoon and Rafale will come 3 to 6 months after other nations get equivalents at a minimum.
And they’ve been doing it for years. Anyone remember the super-sonic update? with the Sub-sonic Javelin
And you don’t know what Gaijin will do until they say or show it. Why is this so hard to understand for a lot of people here?
We already have the Su-25T/TM, and I can see the Su-24M being added immediately if an F-111C/F is its counterpart.
Hehe, you said PP.
I’d love to see an F-16I Sufa.
It’s not that I’m a whore for PW F100 powerplants or anything, I just like the look of it!
The community resposne over the past 4 months in regard to the Typhoon has been:
“not until after other nations get equal or better like F-15C”
Gaijin’s response on the Typhoon has been
“not anytime soon”
but no same comment has been made for the F-15C or other Typhoon Equivalents.
You are right, we have no idea what they will do. But there is 1 in a million chance we get Typhoon even in the same update as other nations get equal or maybe even better. Its is significantly more likely it will be the update or 2 after and that tracks with what most in the community seem to want. The idea of even suggesting Typhoon comes before F-15C is apparently blasphemy
“Not anytime soon” is a very subjective and relative term. To Gaijin, soon may be just the next couple of updates, but to a lot of players, it’s upwards of a year.
Yep. Many players think Typhoon is going to be upwards of a year but F-15C is going to be March or June.
gaijin add what the Major nations want first and foremost. Its why the Minor nations are in such a bad state.
Considering the fact that three nations can get the Typhoon, it makes financial sense to release it with contemporaries, since it would theoretically get them triple the amount of money from people GE-ing it and such than a vehicle that is only added to one nation.
Same didnt track with Tornado. That oculd have been added end of 2021 and been a really competitive aircraft to match something like the Mig-27 also added at the of 2021. Wasnt added to those same 3 nations till end of 2022 a full year later in a near DOA state.
The Tornado is not a heavily internationally popular fighter jet, so it’s not comparable.
Id disagree. Especially for those 3 nations.
Tornado is a principle aircraft for all of them.
One of the best interdictors ever built.
It is not nearly as popular as the Typhoon, that is a fact, and it is not a fighter, which is more popular than interdictors and attackers, that is also a fact.
I’m biased but, I honestly think F-15Cs and Fox 3 is more a June update for summer. I say biased because I think that would make March the perfect time to slip something like an XF-2A or F-2A early in and be competitive. That plane has no good A2G ordinance and is limited to sparrows only.
Unless they wait and skip straight to the F-2 late which is possible but would be odd as that would mean Gaijin is throwing away free money by having multiple variants to research.
We’ll have to see. But I am still willing to bet money on Sea Harrier FA2, F4F-ICE and F-16A vs F-15C MISPII for at least 6 months
