It’s a possibility, having one with thermal and all its enhanced weapons capabilities would be interesting.
Problem is, neither the Mercury pod nor Khod pod have ever been put on any other planes, so gajjin would have to be getting a lil creative to do so. Also I’m not sure but it’s possible that neither pod is actually responsible for guidance, and simply slave the original built in targeting pod to their view instead.
I think it would make the most since, plus if they gave it more modern AGM’s like the TV guided Kh-25’s then it could carry 6 dangerous fire and forget weapons. That would be pretty good for air to ground
Also the new DRICM should be able to jam even some of the most modern missiles like the stinger we have in game
thank god
su25t grind was a pain at 11.0, an actual dircm would make it somewhat nice
Would be necessary for the DRICM to work I believe, as it directly targets the missile
I do want the Su39 or something like it in tech tree
I understand, it’s similar to what we see on the Ka-52 and Mi-28NM in game now.
@Smin1080p is there any info on the more modern su25 for the tech tree? no info on it since may
Actually your right, it’s the exact same system, Vitebsk-25
I dont think the AV-8B+s could carry that many. I think its more like 2x Aim-9M and 4x AMRAAM.
FA2 though is going to be 4x AMRAAM or 2-4x Aim-9M and 2x AMRAAM
Yeah, I reckon 12.3 currently. Heck if the F-15 is 12.3, then what is essentially a 10.7 aircraft with upgrades cant be any higher than the F-15
Maybe just the British can carry 4x?? Hope it can carry 6… I do not see why it can’t while the American and Italian seem to be able too.
One on the right is Sea Harrier FA2 (British Harrier IIs , like the Gr7 and Gr9, didnt have any kind of radar) The Sea Harriers only have 4x AAM hardpoints max
but fair enough on the AV-8B+, thought they only had 6 AAM hardpoints. But we’ll see what they will do. I can see it having a little bit of an AAM cap just to help mitigate its BR. Whilst the Harrier IIs have better handly, the FA2 will without a doubt have the better radar (maybe even the best radar in the game when it it is added) but I can imagine they will want to keep them at a similar BR
the UK Sea Harrier FA.2 was based on the older GR.1 style of harrier with only 4 wing hardpoints where as the AV8B+ is the Harrier II with the 6 wing hardpoints.
Isn’t the PS-05/A on the Gripen a derivative of the Blue Vixen ? I don’t see how the performance difference would be so large.
It was co-developed by the same people who made the Blue Vixen, and did share some of the tech and research for it. Its possible that the Gripens radar (if/when we actually get it) will be comparible in performance.
I do not know much about the British one but it looks more optimal for air to air missions. more streamline and less massive bubble canopy for aerodynamics. The pilot sits more atop it it seems rather more than the other variants more optimal for visibility upward and behind.
I think the British is faster is that true?
Maybe but in warthunder those advantages are basically meaningless because 2 more missiles> is better than more visibility (unless your playing sim but even then id argue 2 more AMRAAM or AIM-9 would still be superior)
