Yea. To me this is a good thing as I want them to accelerate and add the modern stuff now and worry about fixing them later (like pretty much every new mechanic introduced). But again, I’m biased and the reason I want that is so I can get the stuff I look forward to, which in this case is the F-2.
I don’t care for the AESA, I don’t want to be OP or anything. I just want a F-16AJ flight performance (or better, idk how the F-2 will perform), TWS mainly for ground RB, AAM-3s, drogue chute. I feel like that’s not too much to ask…

I’d say if it’s capable, they’ll probably add it to the C. I don’t know if older aircraft will get Fox 3s except maybe the F-16C? Making us grind a new plane for that feature seems like the usual case.
Yeah, Im the same. I would take a Typhoon with 1 working engine, held together with duct tape and only the pilot pistol as an A2A weapon if it meant actually getting in game next update.
If they had added the Sea Harrier Fa2 at the same time as the Gripen C. I would have researched and Spaded the Sea Harrier FA2 first. Probably before even buying the Gripen C. Without any hesitation. I know I will be playing the FA2 a lot when it gets added.
In the F-16Cs case, US has the F-14B, F-15A and many other F-16s. So it moving up, wont be felt at all.
In Britain case. We have the Tornado F3 at 11.3, Harrier Gr7 at 11.7, No 12s and only the Gripen C at 12.3
They might leave it at 12.3 instead of adding AMRAAM. I think its entirely and completely dependent on what else Britain gets. Where they are located and how long till Typhoon. If Gripen C is our top tier dogfighter for a while and FA2 gets neutered somehow, then I could see them doing what htey did to the FGR2 and upgrading it to keep it going.

And yeah the SAAF thing is seconday. They also never purchased Aim-9 or Skyflash. I dont even think Gripen C could fire SARH
We haven’t even had fake leaks yet, let alone Mr.China guy say anything yet. It’s also possible that Gajjin may of plugged the leak if they were able to find out who it was, but time will tell
Yeah it’d be interesting to see how 120’s compare to like AIM7’s or AIM54’s.
You got any idea about their short/mid range performance? Whichever it is, their fire and forget capabilities will give it an edge over the Sparrows.
Also will be interesting to see how many the 37D can carry.
Personally hoping the early AMRAAMS underperform so the 37D will stay below 12.0 so the new sim bracket doesn’t put it to F-16’s and Su-27’s only.
It’s hard to say just yet, but I feel that alot of people don’t understand how strong F&F radar missles are gonna be once they get airframes that can actually pull unlike the AIM-54. the start of every encounter is basically gonna be people spamming as many Fox-3’s as possible at as many targets as possible. The best part is that I won’t have to stay committed to my missle to guide it in, unless the target is outside pitbull range.
