That’s optimistic, I expect SEPv4 to not even have SEPv3’s already underperforming armor, because “n-not enough proof” or something, even though the thing weighted 70 tons. It will probably be just a SEP but slower and with LWS.
That, if it’s ever implemented on the first place.
T-14 is a big unknown tho
IMO should be putted into the same basket as other demonstrators like Abrams X, MGCS or EMBT.
We have nothing but the promises in the brochure. I don’t want any PR-driven “wunderwaffe” tbh.
Well, 2A7V and 2A7+'s hull is the same; regardless, I just learned that it’s neither case, at least according to the image you provided;
Translates into:
The Leopard 2 chassis of the E-MBT comes from the PSO test carrier series, for which there was no longer any concrete use after the implementation of the Leopard 2A7/2A7V for the Bundeswehr. The 17/20 kW APU is clearly visible.
In any case, those hulls have gone through a history of upgrades, hahah.
From Leopard 2A6EX demo, to Leopard 2PSO demo, to EMBT demo. At this point they are probably upgraded effectively to 2A7V/+ levels.
I also love how you suggest that “hull armor upgrades” DEFINITELY don’t involve the “LFP” despite the several hundred additional kilograms. Let me guess, those come from “a 5mm plate under the engine compartment”?
But your very own image states that it’s a PSO demonstrator hull…
Regardless, as I said, EMBT’s hull can perfectly be a repurposed and upgraded PSO hull into 2A7x standards, the same way the PSO hull was a repurposed 2A6EX hull itself.
It appears they’ve been using the same 2-3 tanks to create demonstrators for the past 20 years, a good way to recycle them!
In all honesty idk what any of this is meant to mean lmao. The PSO demo and 2a6EX demo 2 were identical. Just added the modular kit onto demo 2 and sent it to export shows. It was still a 2a6, it was never even upgraded close to 2a7v/+ as the tanks didn’t exist at the time
Uh, Lanz-Odermatt formula, which is the method used by Gaijin to implement shells.
I always pictured it on the 710mm KE range, and it’s probably more than 640 IRL because modern APFSDS include design features that go beyond the simplified aspects of that formula, but… that would apply to many, many shells already ingame.
