Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

where is my greek/cyprus subtree ?

I don’t think it’s a mk1a, cause the arjun in decal doesn’t have weapons station same as in mk1a neither it does have shape of ERA on the turret like in mk1a , it’s probably base Arjun mk1

Day 1126 of waiting for Polish tech tree

I honest to god don’t really want any more full trees or sub-trees added anymore. At least not until they rework the entire way trees function, preferably according to Mauswaffe’s excellent suggestion.

More full trees, especially for single nations (or unified Korea, for that matter), will struggle heavily with giving viable lineups instead of single vehicles per BR. Sweden is already struggling with that quite badly, and with all respect to PolishThunder, but a sole Polish TT would have the exact same issues, or be branded a C&P fest from Rank III to V-VI.

On the other hand, I do agree that how subtrees are implemented right now is absolutely horrendous and not doing anyone much good either. The butchering of Finland still stings very hard for me.

Does anyone here have a link to the bug report talking about how shells which have bounced 3+ times or sth completely ignore the armour afterwards. I know I saw it floating around here recently but I can’t for the life of me find it.

Thing is though, like United Korea, Poland doesn’t have to come alone ;), group tech trees may be the best option if we want more trees in game

This also heavily depends how Gaijin implements the tech tree as well, it took some trees ages to get to where they are and some still haven’t like Sweden,Israel etc

Yes. At this point they could basically rename Sweden to Scandinavia and no one would notice the difference.

But even then an united Eastern European TT might struggle given the fact the Soviets loved to just dump old equipment there instead of allowing them to establish their own MIDs.

Soviets stopped us from producing our own products, but it didn’t stop us from trying them out, there is still a lot of stuff which we have to uncover from the Warsaw pact era

True and Fair

(Though I’d be very, very glad to not see any of those “Polish” designs The Other Game brought along)

Usually the problem isn’t if something can be implemented well, it’s Gaijin choosing not to.

The Ground Tree has the potential of a Rank I till III but it will mostly consist of CnP vehicles with a slight variety of domestic vehicles. The Air Tree would be the problem.

Prayers for WW1 mode in 2 days🙏🏻

There needs to be an air version of the WW1 event. Either as another April Fools or as a regular event.

I might make a suggestion for an event for WW1 aircraft thinking about it actually unless we do get this for this years event.

so gaijin said F&F brimstones wont becoming as it can lock onto anything due to it being a ground search and track radar, and they wont even think abt giving it IFF yet the bloody radar on the mosquito J30 BP Premium has a radar with IFF, gaijin just hates the u.k

If you could fine a source which explicitly states that the Brimstone support an IFF or equivalent system, your claim would have a basis and I’d bet something could be worked out with Gaijin but as far as I can it simply doesn’t have that.

Target identification works through means of:

  • Geofencing
  • Man in the loop (Gaijin has denied its addition into the game multiple times already. Just look up Udes 33 videos on YouTube and you will understand)
  • target recognition via it’s mmW seeker (Very limited identification abilities. Mainly able to identify between car and tank.)

Some ground vehicles have been fitted with BFT and other systems so Gaijin could apply a certain amount of liberty. Would not be the first time.

the radar produces a high res map of the area and compares the silhouettes to a pre-made log of silhouettes it can engage to eliminate the possibility of blue on blue accidents, which acts like an IFF system, i will have more info to add as im still researching abt it

it has a self-destruct feature if it cannot find any targets, and it can be programmed for its MMW seeker to not engage while flying over friendly forces

it uses similar tech to the AGM-114L LongBow since they both share a MMW radar

I could see an public WW1 infantry testing being very popular

I want to merc people with my trusty M1915 Hellriegel and Peacekeeper whilst spamming the Livens Projector like the glory days of BF1.

How about just permanent ww1 air. If we can have modern jets, we need the knights of the sky as well

“We add content on high demand” =/= “WW1 is unlikely due to them being slower then reserve aircraft”
