Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

As it currenlty stands, only Germany seems to be intersted in the AMK
So by the same logic as for the Mk1, its German exclusive.
Unless other nations opt in

Almost every nation has a vehicle in hypothetical or planned upgrades confirmation. Such as the Mirage 4000, Ho 229, Swift F.7 and many many others. The German AESA variant is an example of that where it was provided with IRST too. Unless you are suggesting agian that you now want that removed?

Its not clear what you mean here.

I could swear I saw something called P4E which also mentioned the AMK kit

What I meant is really clear.

First German EFT should’ve gotten the IRST as well.

Unfortunately not. Germany has selected the ECRS Mk 1. Therefor it cant fit both a Mk 1 and Mk 2 radar at the same time.

Other nations have not ruled out the AMK kit or selected an alternative. It was tested by Airbus for the whole consortium.

Fair, bit no because this way we have atleast some diffrent outside of the weapons

Sadly not, as again, the first variants were intended to be reflective of each nations operational standard variants, with the second AESA variants coming in with the possible upgrades and planned features.

True but it pisses me off everytime I remember.

Like How they suppose to add LYNX to German Tree but still hasn’t been added yet.

Selected for the Airframes that are being Delivered this year, the year when ECRS MK2 isnt ready yet yes

but the change from MK1 to MK2 as soon as that is ready for Serial Production and has a Valid COC and the fitting Procedures was never Ruled out by anyone, just like AMK

I mean it is a Hungarian vehicle and the Germans don’t warrant another ifv plus I thought you guys hated C&P lol

we have cool Bavarian Tigers skins

Cyber Tiger> rest of them

2 examples are already with the RAF

The investment will deliver an additional 40 advanced European Common Radar System (ECRS) Mk2 radars for RAF Typhoons, including 38 new systems and modifications to two test systems, ensuring radars will be fitted to 40 aircraft. These radars will simultaneously detect, identify and track multiple targets in the air and on the ground.

And its been flying on FGR.4s since 2024:

If Germany show interest in changing Mk I > 2, then this will be a possible future suggestion too.

Wait that means we have airframes from 2024 then right ?

Sadly not in game outside of the Live.warthunder

Yea, as a prototype :))

sadly 30+29 doesn’t have this Livery anymore

only 30+74, the Current Castle Tiger (imo mid) and 30+09 which is actually painted remain in the Special livery

An FGR.4 has been flying with one since 2024. From this latest report this month, there are now 2 radar sets already available to RAF aircraft. A further 38 new ones will be ordered and the current 2 modified.
