anyway, teaser tomorrow will most likely answer you question
or next week! that’s also possible
Riiiight, yeah, i forgot the Harrier had a massive IR signature in-game
Don’t let that thought cross my mind, I need new content…

Yeah, those too. though as we have seen with R-27ET, whether due to game limitations or intention, they are a bit limited in lock range
Unless it has a specified method of IRCCM it likely wont be modeled that way. Same way the R24t, Python 3 and aim9l have similar flare resistance. Though I’m happy to learn it did have some flare resistance.
and the Seeker of the R-40TD must be worse than the R-27ET’s seeker simply because it’s 20 years older
It’s enough for it to get countermeasures, they did this with the MiG-21bis when it got countermeasures in Afghanistan.
I see where you are going, but the reverse is also true.
Since R40 is basically big R24 in terms of seeker (and plane’s radar as well) then it should be defeated just as easily, except you arent being engaged at point-blank range where maneuvering out would be difficult. Quite the opposite in fact.
So, I am in a mig-25 and theres a harrier over there which knows how R24 works, so how do I engage it?
so it won’t be on R-60 Levels of Flare loving but rather on AiM-9P’s Level
RAF Docs:
Aim-9Ls cannot be defeated by large calibre flares if the target is on reheat
Gaijin;
nah, marketing lie
Undisclosed and vague soviet docuements:
R-40TDs have improved flare resistance
Gaijin:
100% immune to flares got it
half /s
You use the R-40TD without giving away warning or firing on some distracted or BnZ with R-60M
I would think more in line with Aim9l and python 3 and such personally. But that pretty much means none to the snail.
return to hangar
get closer and fire a Missile at it
or Just ignore it
the MiG-25 is less manouverable than F-104s so he won’t be coming back for a Second strike for quite a while
so no mention of submarines or infantry ??
no
seems Subs will be more of a Summer thing
MiG-25 turning back in for a second shot:

huh? wdym? Claws but standing in the Air is surely competitive to a Modern 60m flying Mach 1.30 going Manoeuvrable Jet like EFT or Rafale
When did I say there shouldn’t be any change to the BR? And there really shouldn’t be a 12.0, nor the MiG-25. What should happen is a decompression of the BR, not an increase in the tier of these aircraft. You’re complaining about an aircraft that isn’t even in the game yet; we don’t know how it will behave in the game. You blame Gaijin for putting the Sea Harrier at the same battle tier as the MiG-23. Now you’re going to tell me that it’s the MiG-23’s fault for being at the same BR as the Sea Harrier?, but saying that the MiG-25, a aircraft that can only fly straight, high and fast, is going to break everything is the peak. I’ll assume it’s a skill issue to die to the MiG-25, so that means you did something wrong.
