The strike drones I encounter in ground battles apparently also are just optical illusions
Can’t lock em half the time, Stingers cannot target them and since Starstreaks have the brightest tracers known to man, the drones also can easily avoid them

tbf, Stinger can’t target them because they spawn at an altitude of 3km, so they’re waaay out of range of the seeker unless they close up the distance and go down
And they have relatively low engine power so they have small IR signatures
