Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

This would probably be the only way to make the Super Hornet interesting and to give it something going for it.

Would be funny (in a bad way) to see Gaijin repeat the F-14 situation lol

Yeah, although I don’t think it would be as bad. The F-14A at the time had great flightperformance compared to it’s counterparts.

The 18E almost falls out of the sky compared to it’s counterparts even when not carrying any weapons.

Dunno, when the F-14A was introduced there also weren’t airspawns for all planes on all top tier maps lol

The sad thing is they contradicted themselves in the response about armor by saying there were Swedish DU tests, negating most of the article lol it just gets tiring after a while. At this point I’m just okay with a turret ring/bulkhead fix so one shot doesn’t stop all hope of returning fire.

If there hadn’t been a public release to the Swedish armor tests i feel gaijin would’ve given the abrams even less armor lmao just to make people mald

I love my subsonic strike aircraft with an oddly good self defence loadout.

Isn’t that crazy though, that you’re not far off? Like the fact that there were even TRIALS for export of DU suggests that the linking documents that are public should’ve been more than enough to link up the use in production abrams tanks. Not to mention the obvious weight changes, and first hand knowledge from a person that WORKED on the tanks and was featured in an official War Thunder article.

I just want to feel like I’m playing the super hornet mission in battlefield 3 again, that’s all lol

Which will still be a more or less worsened rafale.
If both of those are put to 14.7, I dont see why not?

AESA EFT with Meteors and IRIS-T could quite easily be a full 1.3 BR difference material from the current one at the very least.

Although we all know it will likely be just 0.3 or 0.7 BRs apart lol

Just put both 0.7 BR above any other plane I would be happy.

But we all know they won’t do that.

Yeah 0.7 no shot, but raising max br by 0.3 isnt unheard of with the coming of new toptier stuff. So might as well.

Also dont forget, even if its just 14.7 that would mean 13.7 planes, of which there are tons, will see no more than 4 14.7 planes plural, not specifically rafales. Currently I often see those in 6-9(!!) range, they are just that mainstream by now. So thats a big plus if you ask me.

Honestly thats valid and i want it for the same reasons. But man is it going to be rough at 14.7 or whatever stupid high br they choose for it.

I mean there was also a book on the armor trials the swedish made but i dont have access to it. Might have some more info that isnt as well known that could help.

Not true, Rafale has the best avionics suite, radar and overall package at top tier, the MICA is the colossal cherry on top but it would still be the best (or tied best) aircraft in game without it.

Your point about the CM count is also moot because those CMs are far better than the BOL present on many NATO counterparts, and a flat increase to russian/chinese airframes

The problem is that a Rafale or AESA EFT arguably shouldn’t “only” be 0.3 BRs higher than 14.3s like the F-15C GE or Su-30SM.

But I guess that is another problem with BR compression.

We all love compressed BR’s they should just go from 1.0-2.0 and call it a day, super compression

Arguably a ‘full potential’ typhoon is easily 15.0~15.7 material (in the context of current br), it closes the gap to rafale exponentially
