I’m saying if sub trees are added then add them properly like in game tab nations than in the main tree.
If sub nations get’s added into the main tree then expect wishlisters to say “Oh I wish this was added”
My goal in this game now is to make pure line ups from sub nations, how can I do that when players actively try and suppress subs and other nations with in a main.

in this photo all they lack is a single light tank at 4.3
6.3 and 6.7 light tanks that we had options for but here we are.
the G-6 which again we have domestic options for
Eland 90 we have the fox and scimitar
rooikat, we have the vickers mk11, olifant mk1 we have the cheiftain mk3 and mk5
Badger is just worthless the warrior at 8.0 is a better scout and IFV
MTTD, we have the VMF 5, olifant mk2 we have the cheiftain 10
and then I dont even have to mention the TTD its the worst tank in its BR bracket we could bring
(also all of the SPAA we have SPAA at the same BRs so it doesnt change a whole lot if they were removed)
Alright then remove SA and make it the 11th playable nation
sure it will be condemned to the fate of isreal and china and just be mostly copy paste centurions but if you want that then im all for it, means we have the 5th line for a domestic light tank line finally
And this is my problem, you’ve want to kick SA out of Britain but yet don’t want to add them as an 11th nation.
Well I guess that’s goodbye to most countries around the world then because there a kid in the corner only wants to play with there things.

most nations dont have the tanks or planes to be a tree with out mostly copy paste and look at the reception of china and isreal, im fine with them doing that but most people wont be but I could careless if it means we get actual domestic options and not useless SA additions
If only subtrees were implemented in a way where they aren’t second class gap fillers and can be properly fleshed out without worrying about hindering the “main” nation…

The issue is that basically all recent SA additions have replaced domestic options and/or been totally worthless.
if the badger had been a really solid 10.7 option, then its a shame it wasnt something domestic, but oh well. we at least got what we needed.
Did we really need a weak IFV the size of a double decker bus for a BR where we already had 4 perfectly acceptable IFVs to call upon?
Just feels like every single SA addition is a disappointment.
If we got the Olifant Mk2 next major update or any update before getting the Skysabre AND Ajax AND maybe even teh Challenger 3(P) Id be very disappointed. Those 3 additions should be considered high priority. A side-grade, maybe even downgrade over teh Challenger 1s, should be considered low priority.
That is my issue. We got basically nothing this major update for ground, instead of either of hte additions we’ve been waiting more than 2 years for

Not every nation sure but the point still stand that many people play war thunder are from these nations and want their tech to be represented, it’s not fair and defo not right to call their tech useless and shouldn’t be added.

when compared to them just adding clutter to the tree then yeah it is, most of SA adds nothing to the tree that wasnt already available, or worse case it has instead come instead of what could have been a domestic option, such as Morvran pointed out the Badger has done nothing but be a waste of time, instead of one of multiple actual top tier IFV options the UK has we got the badger
Well… it kind of is. It doesn’t have enough vehicles to stand on its own and doesn’t add anything that Britain can’t bring to the table itself.

I think it’s just a thing of acceptance, gaijin said subs will be added through out the year in which we had one already in the name of Switzerland no doubt more will come.
The problem we are having here is the old system of Air = air, ground = ground and that’s it gaijin doesn’t understand this sensitive situation about blocking or other players feelings towards other nations. They see it as “oh let’s add something here to fill that space”.
With nation tab subs can act like nations in there own right but without having a handicap of not having enough vehicles

Personally tank wise I would rather we got more Vickers MBT/Vijayanta versions myself, South Africa I want the upgraded Ratel program
(Vickers mbts are superior to all other tanks of the 70s and 80s, fite me, also Ratels with improved armour, mobility and gun controls would be grand)
Along with other Ratel upgrades and the like (such as the SPAA)

at the very least its a domestic tank my issue is while gaijin says just because a sub tree tank comes doesnt mean it takes recourses away from the main nation but it inherently does the man hours they use to code and model say the badger could have been spent on something we actually need like say the Boxer CTA-40 or Ajax or Warrior CTA-40
It’s almost like using ST as nothing more than a way to replace domestic stuff(or not fix them) has only led to them being hated, even more so due to the limited room.
So, in STs current form there’ll never be in a simbotic relation between the nations, just every nation fighting for what limited room there is in a tree.
