I can imagine a fair bit of players leaving if the game isn’t in a proper state to receive 5th gens before gaijin just drops it on us.
Gaijin found the optimal way:
Whatever country you shaft into a sub-tree, make sure that you add the shiny top tier alongside a bunch of copy pastes nobody ask for. You can find enough people buying or supporting.
Just an example, if Gaijin adds Czech sub tree to Russia, you can find some guys claiming “muh Russian vehicles bad, Gripen good, I can have Gripen at home bla bla”

That’s if they haven’t changed their minds. I wish the leak lists would already drop.
I mean I’d like to see more truly domestic vehicles too. But I also can’t blame Gaijin for creating an asset that they can use in multiple tech trees, multiplying the amount of players that grind for and use that asset. From their end, that’s just good business.

Like the M109s were done well in my opinion as they came in different variants. Even the M109Gs had a different machine gun depending if it was Italian or German. At least there was some difference ithe point I wouldn’t mind grinding more M109s.
I had to grind the M44 thrice already and have only used the UK one. I really don’t want to go through it again just to get funnier french vehicles.
Also it’s annoying to see the copy slop extended to subtrees (Hungarian air and post war ground 🥀🥀🥀)

Where ws that confirmed? The recent leak was fake. Also the SAMP/T has range and speed that is twice that of the IRIS-T, way beyond the scale of the game. They will most likely get Aspide 2000
The recent leak was fake. But the fake leakers were working with legit rumors.
However, in the last update’s Russian livestream, BVVD himself said that they were looking into the ASTER system for Italy and France. Since we know that those nations will get a new SAM this update, it’s a pretty logical conclusion to come to; though technically not guaranteed. It’s possible that Gaijin changed their mind and they’ll go with something else.

Well the devs are out of their mind then lol, i guess we know that already because of things like the kh-38 and IRIS-T. Feels like they are modders rather than devs, cramming vehicles in a game that still has ww2 to early cold war map scale

Just wondering why we aren’t getting the BTR-3 as well? The model has been made and Japan could really use another IFV for some higher br’s. They currently have a 9.7 max br IFV.
The point that chinese players are upset over is not even a official statement. Whatever the leaker said doesn’t matter.
Also there’s no possibility of Thai VT4 coming on September 3rd after smin’s statement.

Ya, for only ground and is <10% then the time period WT covers, aka nothing at all.
Not only do they have the same thing with Belgians for Naval & Air, but it has also been longer than the German one.
Heck, they’ve even been allies with France longer due to something that makes up a good 40% of the game. And said something also makes up the majority of most nations’ unique vehicles, and how sub-trees are picked.

It’s definitely a weird case. BeNeLux has a closer geopolitical relationship with France over the larger portion of the WT timeframe, as you explained.
However, a lot of their technology/weapons were influenced by or imported from Germany.
Switzerland as a subtree for Germany is kind of the opposite, they’ve had close relationships with Germany for a long time and while neutral in WW2 they were definitely cozy with Germany.
Technology wise they have imported a lot of stuff from France.
The “right answer” IMO would have been to have an independent BeNeLux tech tree with a Swiss subtree, but we’re far beyond that point lol.

Not really.
Only top tier tanks, and even these have our own tech inside of them.
US, Germany, Sweden and our own, with our own Fokker Technologies inside of top tier aircraft vehicles.
For naval, everything is domestic.

Lots of their ships used German guns prior to WW2. Belgium used Leopards and Gepards throughout the Cold War, not just at the end.
Obvs there is a lot of domestic stuff too. All I’m saying is that I can see Gaijin’s logic even if I don’t fully agree.
I was talking about Switzerland here, which used Mirages for a while as well as French autoloader systems in ground vehicles

errr-, I see a lot more Allied (US, UK, even Canadian tech) or even domestic, Germany really only became a thing late in any proposal(mid to late Cold War tech and majority on the ground.), with other nations and even dosmtic ruleing everywhere else, and still a good part of ground.
