Nah all good, I genuinely misunderstood the two points you were making in my original post. And thanks for the source, good to know that this is currently the official stance on Chinese vehicles going to Japan.

Literally how? You said you were only sour over it because it being potentially released in September. A month after Victory over Japan day.

How does that time frame differ from the F-18 being added to Germany this past summer, only a month after victory in Europe?

All good lol, I should have more strongly clarified that I was mostly referring to players’ sentiments

EDIT: yeah I do need to be better @Noveos_Republic , we’re on the same side of the debate lol

Yeah I realized that too haha

MiG-25PD/MiG-31M with flares

I don’t remember who it was, can’t find the message, but whoever said the Stingray is just an XM8, how is that a problem exactly? XM8 got locked behind an unobtainable wall, Stingray will most likely be tech tree, plus it’s a unique design. Absurd.

how about every MiG-25 and MiG-31 variant?

yes, even the funky prototypes with 7 letters after the designation

You’re conveniently leaving out what matters, or straight up ignoring it, to have your ‘point’ make sense to the clueless reader.

There are a few differences, you know, like Japan’s stance (even today!) after all of it versus Germany’s. Or what Japan was (and is) to China then/today versus Germany to US then/today.

These are rather common knowledge. I just refuse to believe you yourself are unaware why that doesn’t apply to this case. I sense ill intent and ill intent only.

Just because sub-trees are being added, doesn’t mean that new nation additions are impossible. Not every sub-tree rules out an independent tree. It’s not a zero-sum game.

There are a lot of vehicle classes that War Thunder hasn’t really touched yet, plus lots of vehicles within the categories the game already features.

There’s really only two classes of vehicles that are close to being fully represented. Modern jet fighters and battleships. All ground vehicle classes have a lot of room to expand, plus there are air vehicles like jet interceptors, strategic bombers, EW and ASW aircraft, submarines, carriers, not to mention all of the possibilities the multi-vehicle system opens up.

Japan’s stance on historical events doesn’t necessarily influence the developers at Gaijin.

Bro what are u talking about? I’m pointing out how your timeframe sensitivity doesn’t make sense, since like the VT-4 being potentially added to Japan a month after VJ Day, the F-18 was added a month later after VE day. You need to clarify what differences exist

It does majorly impact what Chinese player thinks though. And developer cares.

You underestimate Gaijin’s laziness lol. BeNeLux could’ve been its own thing mannn.

Or better yet, give a fleshed out Dutch subtree to Germany, and the same to France

Developers certainly do care about what their playerbase thinks, but any addition to the game is calculated. Clearly Gaijin are going to move forward with a Thai subtree for Japan. It’s too late to be worried about this. As for the VT-4, it does look like based on Gaijin’s statements that they will avoid putting Chinese vehicles in the Japanese tech tree, or at the bare minimum carefully consider it.

It is odd to not put a Thai vehicle with the rest of the Thai vehicles because people who aren’t Thai are upset about it. But maybe I just don’t get the whole “my vehicles are being stolen!” argument as a multi-nation player.

Reminder the Dutch unique vehicles, fought on the Allied side. Just because Gaijin made the poor decision of adding the Leos before the better options, doesn’t make the Dutch a good pick for Germany (considering all sub-trees wanted for them was the C&P top tier plane)

Indeed it could have, and would have been a good pick.

They find the Horoscope of the day being slightly wrong to be controversial so that’s not really surprising.

For sure. BeNeLux would make a decent contender for an independent tech tree as they have good options for air, ground, and naval.

(I’m still hoping/coping for a United Korea ground tree lol)

The point is not that. It never was.

The only way it irks me is when it comes to copy paste (M44 ) where domestic or subtree vehicles could fill in the gap or there’s no gap in the first place.

I honestly don’t fully get the whole purist thing of only NATO or only Warsaw pact thing because the game isn’t based around that, it’s just individual nations and their subs.

Of course when it gets to stuff that isn’t needed and pure copy paste (like suggestions for the Mig-29 for Israel and Centuaro for USA/USSR) then I view it as unnecessary.

Your not alone

I mean the Netherlands and Germany have an integrated military. That’s a good enough reason
