id like an option to opt out of those awful big arb maps, they dont change anything and just involve boring lengths of flying straight. yes, above 12.0 theyre needed, but below that please stop shoving them down our throats ffs, its especially agravating for 10.3/10.7 planes sucked up into early sarh meta without the ranged weapons to actually participate.
this is kind of a siderant against people who keep pushing arb ec as well.
We need large maps at higher tiers, Even at 10.7 you have things that fly mach 2.0 have all aspect IR missiles.
You need to have the oportunity to gain separation especially in jets that dont have all aspect missiles, limited countermeasures and or substandard flight performance.
Aim9X…and 120C5 if credible the US will be eating good.
I dont see 120C5 being added to other nations to start with. Typhoon would then just outclass the F/A-18E or F-15E that carry the 120C.
Those 2 shoot downs of the Su-30 are credited to an Naval drone using 9Ms
the nation using them rates them very highly and superior to the R-73. Probably something to do with having superior IRCCM…longer lock on range.
Sadly not in game though you couldnt lock at those ranges in game.
Come to think of it, “T-34-85” used to sound weird… until a few days ago, when a stabilised model was announced to be coming along with a remaster of the existing ingame one.
This simply makes no sense. Gaijin would not restrict AIM-120C-5s from the top dog aircraft – especially if we end up getting AIM-9Xs and their equivalents/competitors.
Not to mention they literally added the Eurofighter Block 10, which explicitly gets AIM-120C-5 compatibility.
You add an F/A-18E as US new top tier jet with an AESA radar and 9X with 120C.
But in flight performance terms it is a generation behind the likes of Rafale and Typhoon.
If you give Typhoon 120C5 and in Italies case the 9X you pretty much invalidate the F/A-18E
Restrictions for balance are already in place in War thunder.
I am well versed with which aircraft in RAF service are configured for 120C
This didn’t stop them from adding the F/A-18C Late at the same BR as the Eurofighter. Adding 120C-5s simply means the Eurofighter and Super Hornet will be at the same BR as each other and higher than the F/A-18C Late.
Who even plays the F/A-18C Late in top tier air battles? No one the only ones you see are the Finnish ones. The F-15E is just better in everyway. F/A18-E wont be the meta jet due to it’s limited flight performance and payload options if they give it 10 120Cs then it can duel with the Su-30SMs
Quite – the F/A-18C Late is a popular aircraft. I would argue it should be 13.7, but it also shouldn’t see 12.7s, so this becomes a decompression issue.
Plenty of people… Idk what Air RB you’re playing but it doesn’t sound the same as mine lmao
New IR missiles might come for the new top tier SAMs (eg. SLAMRAAM with 4x 120s and 2x 9Xs), but I really hope we don’t get them on actual aircraft for a few more patches.
Also yeah, IRIS-T SLS was already shown in the community post.
I’d expect the first Typhoons to get them to be Tranche 3s so the current ones can stay where they are and not enlarge the already big gap between the F-4F ICE/MiG-29G and Typhoon.
I doubt the Eurofighter will stay where it currently is – especially since it is explicitly a Block 10 (ie. AIM-120C-5 + IRIS-T compatibility). It sincerely deserves to go up alongside the Rafale, we’re just waiting for better competition and newer missiles to be added.
The next new Eurofighter model to get added will probably have an AESA radar and much later missiles than the 120C-5.
Considering how much tech there is between what the ones in game have and the latest Typhoons, I very much doubt it. I’d be very surprised if there are fewer than at least three per nation by the time we get to T4s.
