Which is what you want. You also want a bespoke game feature that will only be used on this one aircraft in having the missile’s own radar perform initial lock which isn’t necessarily as simple as you’re trying to make it sound especially as it is inside an internal weapons bay
It would actually be easier for them to just add an F-23
hopefully in the next update they double or even triple the amount of bases in air rb (and dont do anything about the reward they give)
Other aircraft can pitbull ARH too, wouldn’t be exclusive to Yf-23 and has some use cases
An F-23 would be pure fiction, while a YF-23 would be far more real (YF120 engines, it was fitted to carry amraams and aim -9, had cockpit based on F-15E)
An F-23 would be totally pointless and fake, while the Yf-23 could at least have an interesting play style at a lower BR than other stealth fighter
Again, blind firing won’t come because high TK probability, I’d be all for launching them through IRST with datalink but there needs to be some kind of purposeful guidance even if it is just DL
But what you’re describing with the YF-23 is also pointless, like I said even with 16km blind fire AMRAAMs you’d be dead in seconds without CMs, and the stealth would barely be a factor at those ranges
adding a radar and CMs is a bare minimum for its addition and at that point it fills the same role as the F-22 which means there’s no good reason for it

Personally, battle rating would be 14.3 minimum if gajin ready AIM-9X (Blk I) and AIM-120C AMRAAM (AIM-120C-5 & AIM-120C-7)
It isn’t a bare minimum as there are other planes with no radar and CM fighting planes with radar and CM.
It’ll still be usable, even at 16km next to nothing should get a lock with radar, you can still notch, and it’ll have a greatly reduced IR signature so heat seekers like r27et will have some difficulty at it’s upper ranges
And wouldn’t the arh seeker just be pointing forward to begin with, sorta like the short range ACM mode
not anywhere near 13.7 there aren’t, like early radar is next to useless and early missiles are easy to avoid kinematically, but even then, you see aircraft like the F-4C get singled out in matches by those with half decent missile specifically because if you can launch a 9L or even a 9D at the F-4C it is almost a guaranteed death, like what is the highest BR aircraft with no CMs? the F-4F Early might be at 10.7 and tbh that thing is far from good
Also, if you want radar missiles, having a radar is by far the simplest and in the current version only solution, though with just AIM-9s it would be potentially ok without a radar so long as the seeker sees air before launch

If they can model pitbull firing, then they should add it and amraams to the YF-23, which tbh only would make it 13.3 bc it can only fire them within 16km

The other thing as I’m reading more into it is that the trapeze system definitely never worked so also couldn’t really be added by your rules, and the YF-23 was only fitted with 2 AIM-9s attached to the bay doors, so I’d concede that a 2 Sidewinder, radarless, flareless, YF-23 could be added, but even with 9Ms it would be woefully outclassed at any BR it could be placed at, I think for it to have a chance you’d need to put it around 11.3 - 11.7 and give it 9L or 9G for balance and then it might be ok. But then you kind of run into the issue the F-117 has which is that it’s at so low a BR, it’s entire reason for existing becomes irrelevant, it only manages because it is so much faster than anything at those BRs and is still hard countered by all aspect IR and close-range radar jousts
you could maybe put bombs in the big weapons bay to keep it useful but with its speed that may be too OP for grinding

12.3 with 9m could be ok as there is more radar missile reliant aircraft there. since there arent any advanced high power AESA (only radar that has a chance of locking one outside of point blank) at that BR it would still be good against radar missiles regarldess of range. wouldnt be immune to all aspect IR but due to IR reduction measures a rear lock would be less solid than usual, would have to get to side or front aspect ranges to do a rear lock.

IDK it depends how effective that lower IR signature is, like I can still imagine a 1.5-2km front or side lock from 9L so giving it a chance at 11.3 - 11.7 where it won’t just encounter whole teams of all aspect IR missiles would be better IMO, also I take it the YF-23 doesn’t have an RWR so even when it is radar locked it may not know about it, and I do thing you’re exaggerating the stealth, like as much as it helps a lot, within 5-10km even 12.3 aircraft should be able to get a lock, it’s more about BVR where the aircraft becomes “invisible” so to speak

if they had to put a high power, ground based search radar onto low frequency mode to even detect the F-117 to shoot it down, on top of already knowing the flight path, do you really think 70’s or 80’s high frequency M-scan radars on a fighter are going to have a chance to get a hard lock against a far more developed design than the 117?
