Oh absolutely, advance IRCM and ECM in general would change the playing field more towards defense but until we see that it is hard to comment, I also don’t know what Gaijin’s stance on ECM is, I know we’ve seen it a little on the SU-25 but it’s not a lot to go on
They said something about working on ESM in the disclosures with BvvD a while back, hopefully that means they intend to package them together.
I wonder if we’ll ever see anything like the Growler in game if electronic warfare becomes a thing.
I mean not that I expect anything air battles haven’t figured out strike aircraft past bombing bases and shooting static ground targets for usually no gameplay reason or benefit

I mean at this point, with modern planes relying on ECM more than ever flare and chaff are less and less relevant, and flare resistance can actually be nerfed through better flares like polyphoric ones.
Whatever works, I just don’t think we ever get to the point where there is a 5-10km bubble around every aircraft where if you enter you both just die
