Erhm Acthually it was said to have a rcs 1/5 of a regular F-15E, and also featured upgraded avionics (new radar, fly-by-wire and electronic warfare for example) many of which went into the Advanced Eagle afterwards, which makes it a notable step in the Strike Eagle development

Production F-15SE was meant to have changed airframe to reduce RCS. Prototype had standard airframe.

Same airframe carried SLAM-ER too. CWB, maybe even FBW should be modifications for F-15E then no?

I mean they wouldn’t do a lot on a regular F-15E except reduce slightly the rcs, only a SE with others stealth features would make a real difference
Still a strike eagle though. Look at French Rafale F3R having an HMD, or the Yak-141, or the F-16AJ, or the Su-27SM double pylons, CWB, even FBW wouldn’t be as much of a stretch as those

its still a strike eagle though, meaning its technically possible to do it to a combat one, and it has been done to A stike eagle
